"Defeat Killer B and obtain the One-Punch Man video." Tian Yuan's eyes flickered with surprise. Both objectives were astonishing.

Killer B need not be introduced: he possessed Jonin-level strength combined with the power of a Tailed Beast as the Eight-Tails Jinchuuriki. His power rivaled ANBU masters. With Tian Yuan's current abilities, dreaming of defeating Killer B was wishful thinking. Even matching a standard Jonin was challenging; killing one in Tailed Beast form bordered on the impossible, given Tian Yuan's limited arsenal.

As for the One-Punch Man video—Tian Yuan knew the anime's destructive feats well. The protagonist's punch generated shockwaves powerful enough to obliterate foes, and no enemy could withstand a serious blow. A miraculous, surreal world indeed; Tian Yuan did not expect to rival that hero's power.

He sighed. Both prizes were marvelous, yet out of reach. Even with Jonin-level strength, facing a Tailed Beast like Killer B required a game-changing ability.

Just as he considered abandoning the mission, Tian Yuan paused. "Wait—"

He glanced at his Player System. He still held another high-definition video. "Perhaps this clip can help."

He selected the Hokage Ninja video—a signal he often received, perhaps due to its relation to this world. Like the Pikachu, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Red Bull rewards, this clip might yield something useful.

"Let's see." He extracted.

"Ding! Acquired Eight Gates."

Tian Yuan froze, then exulted. Beyond Mangekyo Sharingan or Rinnegan, the Eight Gates was among the most terrifying powers: opening all eight could grievously wound even Madara Uchiha. Guy's Seventh Gate had nearly incapacitated Kisame—but the Eighth Gate was a double-edged sword: overwhelming strength at the cost of the user's life.

Yet Tian Yuan held two Senzu Beans—capable of healing any injury in the Dragon Ball world. A single bean could restore him no matter how grievous his wounds.

"All right—absorb it."

The knowledge and techniques of the Eight Gates flowed through Tian Yuan's mind. His body reshaped itself to master the form and its taijutsu. Moments later, he comprehended every nuance of the Eight Gates.

"Now I can undertake this mission," Tian Yuan breathed. "Killer B, here I come."

He opened his Player System map and saw a marker moving toward him—Killer B's location. Once the mission was active, Killer B's position remained visible until the task expired.

"Very well." Tian Yuan floated upward, locking onto a direction.

Flying Technique

In the capital of the Land of Birds, Orochimaru, Anko, and Juken awaited. When Orochimaru returned alone, Anko's face paled. "Tian Yuan—where is he?" she cried.

"He had business to attend," Orochimaru said. "He'll catch up once he's done."

"That's rude of him," Anko fretted.

"We'll depart now and wait for him to join," Orochimaru decided.

"Yes," Anko and Juken agreed, following Orochimaru toward Konoha.

Meanwhile, Killer B and his Cloud Ninja escorts advanced into the Land of Wind, soon passing through the Land of Rivers.

"Konoha Sannin Orochimaru…" Killer B mused as they walked. Who would win in a duel between him and Orochimaru?

He froze and stared upward—a lone figure flew swiftly across the sky.

"A flying ninjutsu user," Killer B muttered. But as the figure descended, he recognized him.

The boy from Orochimaru's side—Tian Yuan.
