Ye Ting was merely curious about the Philosopher's Stone, intending to use it for experiments and uncover its secrets.

Unfortunately, with his current magical prowess, he lacked the ability to break the Enchanted Mirror and cheat to obtain the Philosopher's Stone.

Moreover, even if he could get it, he didn't want Dumbledore to discover that he had taken it. Being targeted by Dumbledore before he became unbeatable was indeed not a good thing.

Therefore, he could only sneakily take the Philosopher's Stone during the chaos, and the best opportunity would be at the end of the semester when Harry Potter and Voldemort were fighting over it.

Since the plot had already been altered by him, Hermione was no longer part of the trio, so he couldn't guarantee that Harry would successfully reach the final challenge and face Voldemort.

To prevent any accidents, Ye Ting decided to postpone the expedition until the end of the semester, so he could either meet Harry or follow him.

In case Ye Ting, Hermione, and Penelope's strategy team entered the challenges before Harry and Voldemort, Ye Ting's abilities would certainly allow him to pass all the levels and reach the Enchanted Mirror.

But if they did so, breaking the challenges early might prompt Dumbledore to reset them, drastically changing the plot and slimming the chances of obtaining the Philosopher's Stone amidst the chaos.

That was the plan. So, there were two things Ye Ting needed to do now: learn to play Wizard's Chess and acquire a better broomstick—not just for this expedition but also for future travels and Quidditch matches.

During his duel with Roger, Ye Ting had discovered the shortcomings of his Cleansweep Five: it couldn't meet his demands in speed and maneuverability, and its quality was subpar. Whenever Ye Ting tried to force control or extreme maneuvers, he felt the broomstick reaching its limit, threatening to disintegrate, which hindered his full potential.

Of course, if Roger knew this, he might be discouraged enough to quit Quidditch altogether.

Regarding the broomstick, Ye Ting had his own idea—to craft one suited for him rather than buy a ready-made one.

The broomsticks in the Harry Potter world were made from ordinary woods, which, though possessing some magical properties, were still too common—the same could be said for wands.

But Ye Ting had his own advantage in materials.

Every month, he could perform a cross-dimensional summoning. Although it usually yielded nothing, occasionally, it summoned some good items, including many rare materials.

Long ago, he had summoned a branch from G'Hanir, the Mother Tree where the raven demi-goddess Aviana resided in Warcraft.

G'Hanir itself wasn't famous, but its three seeds grew into the renowned World Trees: Nordrassil, Teldrassil, and Vordrassil.

Nordrassil, enchanted by the guardian dragons to seal the new Eternal Well created by Illidan, became the Mother Tree of the Night Elves.

Teldrassil was another major habitat for the Night Elves, with their capital Darnassus located within it.

Vordrassil, located in Northrend, could have been the Night Elves' first World Tree, but its roots went too deep, reaching the lair of the ancient god Yogg-Saron, causing a leak of his power and ultimately its destruction.

As the Mother Tree of the World Trees, G'Hanir's power was immense.

The branch Ye Ting summoned was Aviana's favorite, where she often rested, filled with immense magical power. A wand made from it would surpass all wands in the Harry Potter world—including the legendary Elder Wand.

However, Ye Ting didn't want others to know about the branch, so he stored it away until he learned how to make wands.

Besides the G'Hanir branch, Ye Ting had obtained other materials, like Tiamat's whiskers and golden fleece, which only existed in legends. He could sense that these two materials came from the same world—Type-Moon.

And during the summoning day a few days ago, he luckily summoned branches from two mythical woods—the trees of Fusang and Ruomu.

In Chinese mythology, Fusang was the divine tree where the sun rose, and Ruomu was where the sun set.

Aside from their powerful properties, they also symbolized sunrise and sunset, which were crucial in magic.

Using these two woods to craft a broomstick could grant it the flying speed of the Golden Crow patrolling the earth.

But before making his own broomstick, Ye Ting needed to find a laboratory and buy a few broomsticks to dissect and study.

Actually, there was a perfect place for Ye Ting's laboratory at Hogwarts—the Room of Requirement.
