Ye Ting's analysis dawned on everyone. Though they still harbored some doubts about whether Dumbledore would arrange any conspiracies or traps, they generally believed Ye Ting's words.

However, the mention of "tests for students" immediately caught their attention.

The three roommates huddled together and whispered for quite a while before turning to Ye Ting and announcing that they were prepared to tackle the challenges in the hallway together.

"We won't bring you along," Anthony explained to Ye Ting. "You're too powerful. With you, any trouble can be solved. What use would we be then?"

Upon hearing this, Hermione's sharp tongue lashed out, "If you want to prove your abilities, stop referencing Ye Ting's homework every day."

This hit them where it hurt, leaving them stammering in silence. After a long pause, they could only muster excuses like "There's too much homework" and "Wizards don't count it as copying."

Anthony, Terry, and Michael then slunk away with their trays.

After a while, Hermione suddenly whispered to Ye Ting, "Maybe... maybe we should find a time to check out that hallway too. I want to try Professor Dumbledore's test."

Hermione, as always, became highly sensitive whenever exams or quizzes were mentioned, and she was always eager to come out top.

He happily agreed, as he was genuinely interested in the Philosopher's Stone hidden in the Mirror of Erised.

They then invited Penelope and Cho Chang to join them on the adventure. Penelope expressed great interest and agreed to accompany them again, but Cho Chang declined.

"I hate those scary magical creatures," she explained. "The thought of that drooling, gap-toothed three-headed dog terrifies me. So, don't count me in."

When it came to the timing of their action, Ye Ting had another idea. "I don't think we need to rush into the adventure because we don't even know what else is there besides the three-headed dog. I think we should first find a way to deal with the dog and then make plans."

"That means we should go to the library," Hermione analyzed. "I remember there's a 'Monster Book of Monsters' that records many dangerous magical creatures. It might mention this animal."

Ye Ting nodded in agreement but added, "Actually, there's a more direct method. We could find the designer of this challenge and get more clues from them. Among the professors Penelope mentioned, who do you think would use a three-headed dog as a challenge?"

After a moment of silence, the three answered in unison.

"Hagrid!"

The three girls suddenly understood and immediately realized the answer, casting admiring glances at Ye Ting.

"You're really clever."

"To think of approaching the problem from this angle."

Ye Ting waved his hand modestly and suggested, "Let's hold our horses for now. On the one hand, we can research the habits of the three-headed dog in the library. On the other hand, we can find an opportunity to ask Hagrid."

In fact, Ye Ting felt confident that he could now make it to the end of the challenge alone.

He had read the original story and knew what the challenges were.

The first challenge, the three-headed dog, could be handled by Himari. Although Himari couldn't yet transform into a human, she could already fight using her demonic powers. She might struggle against an opponent like a fire dragon, but defeating a three-headed dog would be more than enough for her.

The second challenge, the Devil's Snare, could be dispersed with fire, and he knew how to cast the Fire-Making Spell.

The third challenge involved riding a broomstick to catch flying keys, which was his specialty.

The fourth challenge was giant wizard chess, where the challenger had to defeat the opponent using wizard chess. Although he didn't currently know how to play the game, with his intelligence, he shouldn't take too long to learn.

The fifth challenge tested logical reasoning, which would probably confuse ordinary young wizards, but for him, a straight-A student even in the Muggle world, Professor Snape's puzzles were only as difficult as brain teasers.

However, he didn't want to complete all the challenges now.

Because the final challenge was the legendary Mirror of Erised, where the Philosopher's Stone was hidden.

This mirror could reflect people's deepest desires, and only someone who wanted to find the stone but didn't want to use it could take the stone from the mirror.

And that was something Ye Ting couldn't do. He did want to use the Philosopher's Stone.

Of course, he wanted immortality, but he didn't want to achieve it through the Philosopher's Stone because the immortality it offered had significant flaws: the user had to drink the potion created by the stone every week to maintain it, and such immortality only kept one alive without guaranteeing youth or vitality – Nicolas Flamel and his wife were examples. Although they had lived for hundreds of years, they spent most of that time as old people.

Moreover, Ye Ting believed that with his abilities, he could definitely find a more perfect way to achieve "immortality." Even if he couldn't do it himself, he could accomplish it in the future through "summoning" or "time travel." After all, among countless dimensions, there must be some with readily available methods for immortality.
