Upon hearing Lin Chen's words, Miao Yunfei lightly brushed the dust off her police uniform with her delicate hand.

She looked at Lin Chen and said, "According to our investigation, the death of the deceased, Wang Xuefeng, is either suicide or accidental death."

"Oh? Tell me, why do you conclude it was suicide or accident?" Lin Chen asked.

"Our team took over the case and immediately investigated the deceased's social relationships. He was involved in investment business and had a decent financial status. He had no grudges or enemies in the company."

"However, we did discover one thing — a male investor named Bao Qingshan had recently invested money after being persuaded by the deceased, only to lose everything."

"Our suspicion fell on Bao Qingshan because neighbors reported that he had been to the deceased's rental room and had two fierce arguments with the deceased."

"They fought so violently they almost came to blows. Bao Qingshan repeatedly said that Wang Xuefeng had cheated him out of money and that he would meet a terrible fate."

"Have you investigated the suspect Bao Qingshan?" Lin Chen rubbed his nose.

"Yes," Miao Yunfei replied with a slight smile. "The deceased fell from the building around ten o'clock at night. Bao Qingshan, however, was having dinner with friends who had returned from out of town. Around eight o'clock, he was at his friend's house with his wife and children."

"Because of the celebration, Bao Qingshan got drunk and then stayed at his friend's place with his family. Both his wife and friends can vouch for this."

"The deceased fell around ten o'clock, and Bao Qingshan was dining at a friend's house after eight. Our investigation shows Bao Qingshan had no motive or opportunity to hire a murderer, so his suspicion is ruled out."

"With the only suspect excluded and no known enemies of the deceased, combined with forensic reports, the conclusion is that the deceased either committed suicide or accidentally fell that night, unrelated to others."

Miao Yunfei spoke confidently, holding the key to this rooftop fall case, ready to close it.

Zhang Tian'ai listened, thinking her team had not yet investigated but was impressed by Miao Yunfei's thorough findings and assumed the case was nearly solved.

She wondered if Lin Chen would object.

Other detectives watched Lin Chen intently, waiting for his response.

Lin Chen smiled slightly and said, "I can completely overturn your conclusion with just two points."

Two points?

Just two points to refute the police's investigation?

Miao Yunfei frowned, "Really? Tell me then."

Zhang Tian'ai and Xia Miaoyan watched Lin Chen without blinking, eager to see his deductive skills again after witnessing him solve a case before.

"Why should I tell you?" Lin Chen's words surprised everyone.

Miao Yunfei was momentarily stunned, then sneered, "Why not? Is it because you can't?"

"No," Lin Chen replied, "I just don't like you, so I'm not wasting breath."

With that, Lin Chen ignored Miao Yunfei and said to Zhang Tian'ai, "Take me to the rooftop."

Zhang Tian'ai was a little dumbfounded. Miao Yunfei might be a bit difficult, but after all, she was the mayor's daughter, and Lin Chen was quite rude to her.

Snapping out of it, Zhang Tian'ai followed Lin Chen and Xia Miaoyan as they headed out.

Miao Yunfei stood by the door, her chest rising and falling heavily, silently cursing Lin Chen countless times.

With her father's rising position, no one had dared treat her like this for years.
