A Thought

Seeing the mighty and Haki-filled Sky Dragon before him, Ye Chen was bursting with excitement. With Sky Dragon by his side, he finally had some real backing—at least survival was no longer a problem.

Ye Chen gestured for Sky Dragon to lower its head. Sky Dragon obediently dipped its massive head, and Ye Chen climbed up, settling onto Sky Dragon's body, gripping it tightly with both hands.

Now that he had summoned Sky Dragon, Ye Chen wanted to leave this place and explore the area. Until now, he had no idea where exactly he was—just that it was the world of Pirate King.

Just as Ye Chen was preparing to fly out, a black dot appeared in the distant sky. Within moments, a large birdlike creature flapped its wings and flew straight toward him.

"Chirp! Chirp!"

The flying beast froze when it saw Sky Dragon, clearly terrified—its fear was instinctual.

Ye Chen's eyes lit up when he recognized the creature—it was the same vicious bird that had captured him earlier.

Originally, Ye Chen had no intention of seeking it out, but now that it had shown up on its own, he might as well return the favor—and send it straight to the afterlife.

Ye Chen commanded, "Thunder Summon Orb—kill it, Sky Dragon!"

At his words, Sky Dragon let out a low growl. Its lower jaw opened slightly, and a pale orb crackling with electricity rapidly formed in its mouth.

With a burst of speed, the Thunder Summon Orb shot through the air and slammed into the approaching bird.

BOOM!

The attack hit dead-on, unleashing a deafening explosion. The vicious bird was instantly blasted to pieces by the Thunder Summon Orb.

"ROOOOAR!!"

Sky Dragon let out a thunderous roar that echoed across the entire island.

Ye Chen quickly covered his ears and patted Sky Dragon's body. "Alright, alright, I get it! You're strong! Stop shouting already!"

Not far from the forest, a group of women dressed in revealing outfits turned pale when they heard Sky Dragon's roar.

"Captain, the sound came from the east!" a young girl said to the older woman leading the group.

The captain took a deep breath, stared in the direction of the roar, and said in a low voice, "Let's go check it out."

"Yes!"

The group of women regrouped and ran toward the eastern part of the forest.

About ten minutes later, they arrived and immediately froze when they saw the dragon's massive body stretching across the sky.

"Captain… what… what kind of creature is that?" one of the younger girls asked in shock.

The captain stiffly turned her head, voice trembling, unsure: "It… should be… a dragon?"

"A DRAGON?!"

Everyone around her gasped sharply, staring up at the colossal beast in fear.

In every world, dragons were symbols of unmatched power.

Even the snakes coiled around the women's bodies lowered their heads, not daring to look directly at the creature in the sky. The suppression from its bloodline left them paralyzed with fear.

"Roooar…"

Sky Dragon let out a soft call toward Ye Chen. Hearing the familiar sound, Ye Chen turned his head to look in the direction of the voice.

"There's someone here!" Ye Chen's heart lifted. He had thought the place was deserted—this was perfect.

"Take us down," Ye Chen ordered.

Sky Dragon adjusted its flight and glided down toward the Daughter Country patrol squad.

"Captain… it's coming!" a girl around fifteen or sixteen stammered in fear.

The captain took a deep breath and said quietly, "Don't panic."

But despite her words, the trembling of her body betrayed her fear.

Sky Dragon flapped its wings and slowly descended toward the group from Daughter Country.

As Sky Dragon lowered its massive head, Ye Chen looked down at the people below and asked, "Excuse me, where am I?"

"There's someone riding it…"

The captain's heart was in turmoil. She had assumed that the dragon was a wild beast—after all, who could possibly tame such a terrifying creature? But she hadn't expected it to have a master.

And even more shocking—that master looked like a teenage boy!

Who is this person? How could someone so young tame a monster like that?

The captain was completely stunned, while Ye Chen frowned slightly.

Clearly, Sky Dragon had left a big impression on them.

"I said—can you tell me where this is?" Ye Chen repeated.

The captain snapped out of her daze and quickly replied, "This is Daughter Country."

"Daughter Country…?" Ye Chen stroked his chin thoughtfully. Then he remembered: this was the country that didn't welcome men.

Sure enough, the captain's expression quickly turned wary. She glared at Ye Chen and said, "Who are you? Men are not welcome in Daughter Country."

"If I told you I dropped from the sky, would you believe me?" Ye Chen scratched his head and smiled awkwardly.

But the captain wasn't convinced. Instead, her eyes grew even more suspicious. "Then what's your purpose for coming here?"

Ye Chen shrugged. "No purpose at all."

"You think we'd believe that?" the captain snapped.

Showing up here with a dragon and claiming to have no ulterior motives? How could she possibly believe that?

"If I really meant harm, do you think you'd still be standing here talking to me?" Ye Chen shot back.

It wasn't arrogance—he was simply stating a fact.

This patrol squad wasn't weak, but even so, Sky Dragon could probably wipe them all out with a single Thunder Summon Orb.

The wrath of a sky-dominating creature wasn't something to take lightly.
