Fire Talent is a special Talent, and it is an attack-type Talent that can directly increase combat power.

Wind Wolf and the others feared encountering such Ferocious Beasts the most during their hunts, because these Ferocious Beasts, though only slightly more valuable than others, were far more dangerous.

"Judging by its aura, this Ferocious Beast is still at the Low-level level—that's good news!" Wind Wolf comforted himself.

The entire team retreated, all with tense expressions.

"Ye Tian, you know this Ferocious Beast. What level is its Fire Talent?" Wind Wolf asked.

"Lesser-grade Fire Talent," Ye Tian answered truthfully.

"Lesser-grade Fire Talent means its flames double its attack power. Ferocious Beasts are more foolish than Martial Artists, with simpler attack methods. We can kill it. The early-stage Martial Artists should stay back; you won't be able to help!" Wind Wolf said.

Several early-stage Martial Artists retreated far away; as Wind Wolf said, they were too weak and would only cause trouble.

With a swift motion, Wind Wolf took the initiative to attack.

The Fire-Spitting Lizard lunged at Wind Wolf but did not use its fire ability; instead, it bit fiercely.

Boom!

Wind Wolf's blade clashed with the lizard's teeth, sending the lizard flying and breaking one of its teeth.

Ye Tian stood aside, estimating the lizard's strength.

"The Fire-Spitting Lizard has about 9,000 pounds of strength. Its fire attack equals about 18,000 pounds. Martial Artists' max strength is 10,000 pounds. With Yuan Force amplification, attack power can reach 20,000 pounds. Wind Wolf's burst attack isn't quite that strong but close enough to handle this lizard!"

Seeing Wind Wolf could handle it, Ye Tian decided not to reveal his true strength.

"Roar!"

The lizard, hurt, finally activated its Fire Talent.

Boom!

A giant fireball formed and shot rapidly toward Wind Wolf.

"Slash!"

Wind Wolf's blade, infused with Yuan Force, cut through the fireball and slashed at the lizard.

Bang!

The blade struck the lizard, injuring it again.

At this moment, Ye Tian and several mid-stage Martial Artists also attacked.

Soon, the lizard was killed by their combined effort.

"Haha, Ferocious Beasts with special Talents aren't so tough after all!" one Martial Artist said excitedly after the kill.

"Don't be careless. There might be more Fire-Spitting Lizards in this valley!" Ye Tian warned.

Wind Wolf's face darkened; he had no joy from killing the lizard.

"Ye Tian is right. We had just entered the valley and encountered one. There may be many more. Damn Lin Family! They assigned us to clear an area with special Ferocious Beasts without proper reconnaissance!" Wind Wolf complained.

But he knew Lin Family wouldn't care; complaints were useless.

They had come this far; retreat was impossible.

"Everyone stay alert!" Wind Wolf ordered as they continued.

Soon, they encountered another Fire-Spitting Lizard. After a fight, they killed it.

Not long after, two appeared.

This time, Wind Wolf's team fought fiercely, sustaining light injuries but killing both.

They were only at the valley's edge.

"It's clear now—the valley is a Fire-Spitting Lizard nest with many inside. If we go deeper, many will die!" Wind Wolf said tiredly.

Repeated fights drained his Yuan Force and stamina; his combat strength dropped, making solo kills impossible.

Continuing was suicide.

"Retreat and rest first!" Wind Wolf suggested.

No one objected; they were scared.

As they exited, about ten Fire-Spitting Lizards blocked the valley entrance.

"Oh no!" Wind Wolf was desperate.

With their squad's strength, fighting one lizard was hard; facing ten meant total annihilation.

"Send distress signal!"

Wind Wolf took out a distress device and called for help while retreating.

However, despite many distress calls, no reply came.

"Damn, there must be Elite Martial Artist squads within 10 kilometers, yet none answered my calls!" Wind Wolf was furious.

"Captain Wind Wolf, stop calling. No one will help us," Ye Tian said.

"I know, but I still held onto hope. Guess I underestimated human nature," Wind Wolf sighed helplessly.

The ten lizards charged.

In speed, the lizards were only mid-stage Martial Artist level. Wind Wolf, being late-stage Martial Artist, had a chance to flee.

But if he ran, the others had no hope.

He had led many for over ten years and was deeply attached to them; abandoning them was unthinkable.

"If Little Raine were here, her archery might hold the lizards off and give us a better chance," Wind Wolf thought.

But he quickly dismissed it.

Little Raine was a young, early-stage Martial Artist, though skilled with the bow and from a powerful family. Her family would never allow her on such a dangerous mission.

He didn't want her to face danger either.

That was why he refused her participation.

Right now, she was probably under her family's watchful eye.

Seeing the lizards approach, Wind Wolf made a decision: "I'll hold them off. You all run!"

A resolute aura burst from Wind Wolf, inspiring the group.

"Captain, we'll fight with you!" one Martial Artist stepped forward.

"Yeah, let's fight!" others agreed.

However, the last Martial Artist to join was not from Wind Wolf's squad and had no loyalty; he planned to escape.

"Go ahead and fight those lizards. Sorry, I'm out!" he said, fleeing into the valley.

"Scoundrel!" someone cursed.

Wind Wolf ignored him and looked at Ye Tian.

"Brother Ye Tian, your talent is high. It'd be a waste to die here. You should run!"

Ye Tian smiled faintly, "Don't worry. We won't die; they're just some Fire-Spitting Lizards."

Ye Tian then emitted the aura of an Elite Martial Artist.
