Ollivander introduced the wand.
"It's crafted from the tail feather of an exceptionally ancient Phoenix King and the heartwood of a century-old elder tree, twelve inches long, flexible, and resilient. It's one of my proudest creations. I could never find such precious materials again, nor could I make a wand more powerful than this one."
"I just hope this wand doesn't cause any more surprises." said Ye Ting, who was exhausted by the frequent 'delights'. He no longer had the energy to consider the wand's power; he just wanted to end these experiments quickly. Yet, he still carefully took the wand.
The moment he grasped it, all the wands in the little shop trembled. A wonderful sensation flowed from the wand to his hand—a seamless and tame feeling, as if casting spells would require no effort at all.
Ye Ting waved the wand gently, and this time, there were no accidents. The tip of the wand flickered with a brilliant silver light, and then the trembling of all the wands ceased.
"Marvelous... Absolutely magnificent," Ollivander exclaimed loudly. "It's an honor to witness this wand finding its true owner in my lifetime."
Then, he turned to Ye Ting and reminded him, "Wands with phoenix feather cores are powerful and most selective of their owners, especially those from the Phoenix King. Elder wands are harder to wield than any other wand and demand the utmost talent from their users. Wizards who can wield an elder wand are destined for greatness. As the owner of such a wand, you are bound to have a legendary future."
As he said the last sentence, he glanced at Dumbledore.
Dumbledore smiled. "I'm glad you have such a wand, Ye Ting. I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll do at Hogwarts."
Ye Ting satisfactorily tucked the wand away and asked, "So, how much does this wand cost?"
"No, no charge," Ollivander replied, glancing at the wand reluctantly. "To see my greatest masterpiece find its true owner is enough for me. I hope you will use it wisely."
Watching Dumbledore and Ye Ting leave, Ollivander murmured to himself, "Another orphan from the Wool's Orphanage, another genius… No, a more incredible genius than that one. I hope he doesn't follow in the same footsteps; otherwise, the wizarding world will..."
"Next, we need to get you a Hogwarts uniform," Dumbledore said after they left the wand shop. "Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, that's where we usually go."
Madam Malkin was a short and plump witch with a welcoming smile, dressed in purple. "Are you here for Hogwarts uniforms, dear?" she asked before Ye Ting could speak. "We have plenty. Oh, hello, Mr. Dumbledore, are you here to pick up a student? I didn't notice you just now."
The two exchanged warm greetings with smiles.
Ye Ting noticed another young man coming out from the back room. He was shorter than Ye Ting by a head—due to his constantly growing body, he was taller than most of his peers—wearing a dull, old-fashioned black robe that Ye Ting found hideous.
"Excuse me, is that the Hogwarts uniform?" he asked, helplessly pointing at the young man.
"Oh, yes, dear," said Madam Malkin, leading Ye Ting to a stool. "But if you're not satisfied, you can ask for lace or something… Oh, can you stand on this stool? I need to take your measurements."
Ye Ting was still dissatisfied with the outdated robe and made an unexpected request: "Can I design my own robe and have it customized here?"
"Design your own robe?" Madam Malkin's voice rose an octave. "Nobody has ever made such a request. We are professionals… But if you insist, it's not impossible."
Her voice softened at the end, obviously hurt by Ye Ting's request. She felt her expertise was being underestimated.
So, Ye Ting skillfully sketched out a design on paper. It was the uniform of the Association of Magicians' students in the Tpye-moon world from his memory. The hem was shorter than Hogwarts' robes, and the design was much more fashionable, seemingly a blend of Muggle world design styles. Additionally, he drew the matching shirt, vest, trousers, and so on.
Dumbledore and Madam Malkin stood curiously behind Ye Ting, eager to see what he would come up with. As Ye Ting's skilled hand brought the outfit to life, their expressions became increasingly serious.
"I must say, your new student is indeed a genius." Madam Malkin remarked to Dumbledore. "This isn't something an ordinary child could design. If he were a fashion designer, he'd make a fortune in Galleons."
Dumbledore nodded in agreement, having been constantly amazed by Ye Ting since meeting him today.
Finally, after completing the final drawing, Ye Ting stopped sketching. Madam Malkin immediately grabbed the paper and examined it closely.
