Chen Shang looked around, puzzled. There were only four options visible in his personal space, and none of them seemed to lead to the lottery he was promised. After searching in vain, he decided to open the last option: [Inventory].

"Please select the appearance of your inventory."

The mechanical voice rang out once again.

Chen Shang tested it out, finding that the inventory could take any form. It could be a backpack or an accessory, and its appearance didn't affect its function. Eventually, he decided to turn his inventory into a ring.

Once the appearance was set, another prompt popped up:

Your inventory can store any item or low-intelligence creatures you own. Non-owned items can be stored once control is established for half an hour. There are no volume or quantity limits, but exceeding a certain weight will apply an equal distribution of the load to your body.

After receiving these instructions, Chen Shang focused on the ring and discovered a lottery ticket inside.

He pulled it out, and as soon as he did, the ticket burst into flames. A large gashapon machine suddenly materialized in front of him.

"This setup is actually quite amusing."

Chen Shang chuckled, turning the handle twice. With the familiar sound of gears clanking, a small capsule popped out. He twisted it open, and as the capsule disintegrated into white light, a card appeared in his hands.

[Growth Card] (Special Card): This card grants any card the ability to level up. A card with this growth ability can be upgraded through specific means. The exact requirements for growth and the maximum potential depend on the card it is applied to.

Note: Special-type cards cannot be obtained through regular livestreams, making them extremely rare. Think carefully before using this. Remember: misusing a card may bring two tears to the eyes of the streamer.

After reading the card's description, Chen Shang didn't hesitate. He opened his [Skill Enhancements] panel and applied the Growth Card to his [Vampire Thrall – Special Blood] card.

Others might have saved this rare card for a more valuable future card, but not Chen Shang. Since the bloodline card was bound to him and couldn't be removed, using the Growth Card on it was a sure win.

The updated bloodline card now looked like this:

[Vampire Thrall – Special Blood] (E+ Rank Bloodline Card) {Growth Card}: You are now a member of the Bloodline, with an insatiable thirst for blood.

Vampiric Physique, Vampiric Weakness (70% Reduction)

Growth Potential: By consuming enough high-quality blood or absorbing energy from related powers, the [Vampire Thrall – Special Blood] card can evolve into the [Vampire Baron].

Below this, there was a progress bar, currently completely gray.

"Good. Now this bloodline card won't become a weakness but rather a core component of my abilities."

Chen Shang always planned for the long term. While the bloodline card seemed powerful now, it could easily become a liability after a few more livestreams due to its inability to be removed and its negative effects. By applying the Growth Card, Chen Shang ensured it would continue to grow and remain useful.

"Next..."

Chen Shang bent down and stored the [John's Cross] in his inventory ring. He then turned his attention to the square-shaped personal space around him.

"I should be able to leave here and return to the real world."

As soon as Chen Shang had this thought, the mechanical voice responded:

You are about to exit your personal space and return to the real world. Please refrain from revealing any information about the Thrilling Livestream to unrelated individuals. Violators will be penalized through Spirit Point deductions. Have a pleasant return.

When the voice stopped, Chen Shang found himself in the corner of a store, holding a bag of bread, as if he had just been grocery shopping.

"This is... the store near my home. It seems I was out shopping."

Chen Shang looked at the brand of bread in his hand. It was a whole wheat loaf, a quality source of carbs, and something he often bought.

After continuing to browse the store and picking up a few more items, he walked to the checkout. On a whim, he grabbed a black umbrella by the counter before paying and heading out.

Once outside, he looked toward his home—now nothing more than a pile of rubble, with only part of the building's foundation remaining. Not far off lay the wreckage of a crashed plane.

"I see... When the plane crash destroyed my home, I wasn't there. I must have been at the store buying these groceries."

Chen Shang opened the black umbrella and walked away from the scene, heading in the opposite direction from his former home.

It was June, and the sun was particularly harsh. Many young women were carrying sun umbrellas, so Chen Shang didn't stand out in the crowd. He blended in as just another person shielding themselves from the heat.

"The livestream system even arranged a convenient excuse for my return to the real world. That's actually quite considerate."

Chen Shang mused as he walked.

With his wallet and phone still intact, there was no need for him to dig through the wreckage of his old home for any potentially salvaged belongings. Instead, he headed toward a cheap motel he remembered from his past.
