Kamar-Taj was much like a grand university.

With the Ancient One presiding, no one dared to misbehave within its walls.

So, after some thought, Zhao Yu relaxed—he no longer worried about his power being exposed.

To his surprise, though, Khamir Dal truly had kept his secret.

This astonished Zhao Yu.

That old man, who appeared so prim and proper, was notorious for gossip.

He knew every rumor, from which Sorcerer had fallen in love to which one had just been dumped.

Yet he had not leaked a word about Zhao Yu.

Zhao Yu admired him for having boundaries.

Just then, a knock sounded at his door.

He opened it to find a Sorcerer he did not recognize.

"Zhao Yu Sorcerer, Mordo Grand Sorcerer requests your presence."

"Thank you," Zhao Yu replied, curious.

What could Mordo want with him?

Mordo was the Ancient One's closest disciple, among the most trusted in Kamar-Taj, and second only to the Ancient One as an instructor.

The famed Doctor Strange had been molded under Mordo's guidance.

Surely Mordo's summons was no trivial matter.

With some puzzlement, Zhao Yu made his way to the hall.

Inside, he found Wang, Khamir Dal, and Hamir already seated, while Mordo occupied the head seat.

After bowing respectfully, Zhao Yu asked,

"Masters, why have you summoned me?"

"I hear you are a genius,"

Mordo began.

"That's high praise from you all,"

Zhao Yu said modestly.

"I have only tried a little harder than others."

Mordo smiled, pleased by his sincerity.

"Very good.

Humility is a fine quality.

Remember that as you study under me."

Zhao Yu's face registered surprise—was he now changing teachers again?

Reading his look, Wang explained,

"Zhao Yu, your talent is exceptional.

We cannot hold back your growth.

Henceforth, Mordo Grand Sorcerer will instruct you."

Wang's expression mixed regret with relief—guiding Zhao Yu had been nerve-wracking, every lesson a test of his own skill and composure.

Now, at last, he could pass the torch.

Zhao Yu felt pangs of regret—Master Wang had been such an effective Experience Baby.

Yet he spoke respectfully,

"I will heed the Grand Sorcerer's instruction."

All approved—except Khamir Dal, who wore a troubled expression, occasionally glancing at Mordo with wistful sighs.

Mordo noticed and asked,

"Master Khamir Dal, do you object?"

"Master Mordo, of course not,"

Khamir Dal sighed.

"Then why the looks?"

(Inwardly, Khamir Dal thought: I'm terrified Mordo might be overwhelmed by Zhao Yu's genius!)

Mordo chuckled.

"If you have no objection, let us proceed."

Once the discussion ended and the others departed, Mordo led Zhao Yu to his training chamber.

"Zhao Yu,"

Mordo began, "what are your preparations?"

"I'm at your disposal, Master Mordo."

Zhao Yu replied.

"You possess great talent, but do not squander it. Learning Magic demands perseverance, even for the gifted. Understand?"

"Thank you for your guidance, Master Mordo. I understand."

Zhao Yu answered eagerly.

Mordo nodded in approval.

"Excellent.

Maintain this attitude, and you will achieve much.

Now, tell me which Magics you have learned.

I wish to tailor my teaching to your strengths."

Zhao Yu began listing his Magics:

"Magic Shield, Mirror Dimension, Chains of Vishanti…"

At first, Mordo listened calmly, but as the list grew—especially upon hearing "Vishanti's Holy Sword"—his expression shifted to astonishment, then disbelief.

Basic Magics were one thing, but that was advanced.

Few Grand Sorcerers could wield it.

And Zhao Yu had mastered it.

"How did you learn these?"

Mordo exclaimed, eyes wide.

"These are not for apprentices to learn!

Even geniuses rarely achieve this!

No—this is beyond genius!"

Mordo had once thought Zhao Yu simply talented, but now he realized: he was confronting a monster of power!
