It seemed that everything probably happened around February 13th.

"Brother, have you seen my green notebook?"

At that moment, his sister's voice suddenly came from outside, and she headed straight toward Andrew's room.

"Activate the Simulator!"

The crucial information was just ahead, Andrew couldn't give up now.

{Simulation Start!!!}

{You immediately got up and locked the door, then continued reading your sister's diary.}

{Your sister pushed the door but couldn't open it, then started knocking and calling you from outside.}

{You ignored her, focusing all your attention on the diary in your hands.}

{February 12th: your sister lost her memory. It seemed a lot had happened before that, but she remembered none of it.}

{February 11th: blank!}

{February 10th: blank!}

{February 9th: blank!}

{February 8th: Mom took you and your sister to your grandmother's house.}

{The diary only recorded the trip to your grandmother's house. Whether your sister hadn't gotten a chance to write what happened next, or she had forgotten due to memory loss, was unclear.}

{You tried to recall what happened on February 8th, but there was nothing in your memory either. It seemed you had lost your memory too and had forgotten many things.}

{You continued flipping through the later entries in the diary.}

{Everything written afterward was normal. They were just daily life, things that happened at home, and a few complaints your sister had about you and your mother.}

{Just then, the door was forced open, and you died!}

{This Simulation Ended. Duration: 9 minutes. Current Mental Value: 75!}

Consciousness return.

There was no time to think. Andrew immediately hid the diary and got up to meet his sister.

"What's wrong?"

Looking at his anxious sister, Andrew asked.

"My diary's gone, it's a green notebook. Brother, have you seen it?"

She was clearly panicked, her eyes scanning all around Andrew's room.

"Green one?"

"I think I saw it on your desk earlier."

Andrew paused for a moment, then answered.

"Okay, I'll help look for it."

His sister quickly returned to her room to search.

"Want me to help?" Andrew offered.

"No need, thank you, brother."

She declined directly.

"Alright, go ahead. If you can't find it, come get me later."

Andrew nodded slightly.

After she left, Andrew pretended to head to the bathroom. On the way past the study, while no one was watching, he slipped the diary into the side compartment of her backpack and went into the bathroom.

"The whole thing started on February 8th, the day we went to Grandma's."

"Then my sister only regained her memory on February 13th."

"That's five days of missing memory."

"After that blank period, my sister heard the sound of our parents chopping bones in the middle of the night."

"In other words, by then, our parents had already killed someone!"

"So, if I can figure out what happened in those few days, the secret behind this Rule Horror will likely be uncovered!"

"But for now, the most urgent thing is the man in the Black Trench Coat who will appear tonight."

"Could this man be related to the memory loss?"

Recalling the Man in Black Trench Coat seen in the Simulator, Andrew's hair stood on end.

That guy was terrifying, he was like a heartless killing machine!

And then there was the bloodied suitcase.

Looking back, that suitcase wasn't even that big, so it wouldn't be easy to fit a body inside.

Especially not a fully grown man like Dad. Without dismembering the body, it would be impossible to fit him inside.

Which meant, the Man in Black Trench Coat had not only killed someone within minutes, but also dismembered the body and packed it into the suitcase.

And he didn't seem to have sustained any injuries, not even bloodstains.

At the very least, when he finished all that, no blood had dripped from him!

Such a terrifying figure—no one, even combined, could defeat him through force.

And according to the Simulator, it seemed that Andrew's parents must not be killed by him, or Andrew himself would die.

If he couldn't win, the only option was to run.

And this time, he couldn't escape with just his sister. He had to take his parents too.

But would his parents follow him?

Andrew frowned deeply, unable to come up with a workable plan after a long time.

"Wait, the basement!"

"There should be a rule about the basement too."

"If I can find the basement rule, there might be a way to break through this."

Once he sorted out his thoughts, Andrew immediately left the bathroom.

His eyes swept over every part of the house, trying to recall any place he hadn't checked yet.

"I've searched everywhere. The rule note about the basement isn't in the house."

"If it's not at home, then it must be outside. It most likely somewhere in the basement!"

Andrew was about to head down to the basement when his mother called out to him.

"It's so late, where are you going?"

Andrew paused, then turned to look at her.

"My sister lost a green notebook. It seems important to her, and she's really upset."

"I thought I'd go downstairs and buy her a new green notebook, maybe it'll cheer her up."

His mother nodded slightly.

"Do you have enough money on you?"

Andrew nodded. "Yes, I do."

Mom said, "Alright, just don't wander around outside too long. Come straight home."

Andrew agreed and then opened the door and left.

Then he ran as fast as he could to Basement.

According to the Simulator, this time of night, the basement should be safe.

After a thorough search, Andrew finally found a rule note about the basement near the handle of his dad's trunk.
