As Lin Daiyu and Qin Keqing playfully bickered, Qin Keqing remained silent, barely daring to breathe. She quietly focused on eating her meal.

After dinner, Lin Daiyu led Qin Keqing around the territory to familiarize her with the various buildings. Most of them were straightforward enough to understand, albeit novel in design.

However, the "fragrant toilet"...

Qin Keqing could only describe it as "unconventional creativity."

Faced with her reaction, Wu Chi could only shrug helplessly.

Night fell.

10 PM.

Sitting on a chair, Wu Chi counted the [Void Source Stones] and [Void Crystals] in his inventory, contemplating the best way to use them.

For now, due to the far more dangerous monster waves he faced compared to other lords, his risks were higher, but so were the rewards.

Today's wave alone had yielded an impressive haul of both resources!

"[Void Crystals] are this era's hard currency—money! You can never have too much of it!"

"For now, I don't need much for restoring stock or repairing buildings."

"The priority is summoning troops and heroes!"

"On the other hand, [Void Source Stones] are scarce and can only be accumulated over time…"

Lost in thought, Wu Chi was interrupted as the door creaked open.

The two ladies entered hand-in-hand, now dressed in fresh outfits. Their hair was pinned up with jade hairpins, and their radiant faces glowed faintly, their skin smooth and luminous.

They had just bathed using the water from the [Moon Well], leaving them both radiant and breathtaking. Their jade-like skin practically outshone the dim light in the room.

"Master, you can go wash up now," Lin Daiyu said with a smile. Her enchanting eyes seemed to pierce straight through his soul, and her playful smile carried an unspoken implication.

Wu Chi cleared his throat, masking his thoughts, and walked out with a straight face.

The two women had shared a bath in a tub inside the [Red Mansion]. By now, the water had been drained, and the tub was left clean and drying outside.

Seeing the tub, Wu Chi suddenly felt a pang of regret.

The water the two beauties bathed in...

"Pah!"

Wu Chi shook his head, banishing the improper thought from his mind.

Collecting the tub, he grabbed a towel, soap, and a small bucket. Filling the bucket with water from the [Moon Well], he began to bathe at the edge of the fence.

This was typical for most novice lords early on. With no privacy or buildings for cover, they resorted to bathing outdoors.

Exposed to the breeze, Wu Chi joked to himself about the "chilling winds of the Endless Void" as he washed up.

After his bath, Wu Chi changed into clean clothes and returned to the small house.

Under the soft, amber glow of the oil lamp, Lin Daiyu and Qin Keqing sat together on the bed, whispering to each other.

As he entered, Qin Keqing startled, her phoenix eyes darting toward him before quickly averting. A soft blush crept up her pale neck.

"Keqing, our master is still damp; help him out a bit," Lin Daiyu teased with a mischievous smile, patting Qin Keqing's hand.

Hesitating for a moment, Qin Keqing rose gracefully and bowed slightly before Wu Chi.

"No need for formalities. What are you trying to do?" Wu Chi asked curiously.

Qin Keqing raised her hand, and the ethereal [Portrait of Wind and Moon] materialized above her palm.

It was not a piece of equipment but a manifestation of her innate talent.

In an instant, the moisture and chill clinging to Wu Chi's body were absorbed into her palm.

With a flick of her wrist, the collected water turned to vapor and dissipated within moments.

The rising mist framed her flushed face, making the bashful beauty even more enchanting.

She quickly stepped back, clearly flustered.

"Magic can be used like this? Incredible!" Wu Chi exclaimed, running his hand through his now-dry hair.

"Power isn't just for destruction!" Lin Daiyu said with a sweet voice, adding, "Keqing's innate gift is truly remarkable and might hold even greater potential."

"Alright, it's late now. Let's rest early; tomorrow may bring another fierce battle," Lin Daiyu continued.

With that, she gracefully removed her shoes and socks, revealing her fair, delicate feet as she climbed onto the bed and laid down on the inner side.

"Wait—what!?"

Qin Keqing finally understood the implication, her face turning scarlet as her phoenix eyes widened in shock.

"This isn't proper. Maybe I should sleep on the floor?" Wu Chi hesitated.

But as soon as the words left his mouth, he wanted to smack himself for even suggesting it.

"Is our master afraid?" Lin Daiyu teased softly, her enchanting gaze locking onto him.

Her words ignited a fire in Wu Chi. "Afraid of what? There's no way I'd be the one to suffer!"

With a huff, he climbed onto the bed and lay down beside her.

Seeing this, Qin Keqing trembled slightly, her thoughts racing between leaving for the [Red Mansion] or settling on a chair for the night.

But the thought of upsetting Wu Chi—and the reminder that she now belonged to him—made her indecisive.

After a long moment, she bit her lip, removed her shoes, and nervously lay down on Wu Chi's other side.

Three people, one bed.

At some point, the oil lamp dimmed.

In the darkness, Qin Keqing couldn't fall asleep, her ears attuned to the faint sounds of breathing.

Carefully turning her head, she saw that Wu Chi was already asleep.

The soft smile on his youthful face was unmistakable.

"He's exhausted."

Suddenly, Lin Daiyu's low voice came from the other side, tinged with a quiet sadness.

"Let him rest well..."

Qin Keqing seemed to grasp the meaning behind her words. Her gaze softened as a faint warmth rose in her chest.

Resolving her unease, she gently leaned toward Wu Chi and closed her eyes.
