Ethan Wu's home was located in the alleys of the Old Town in the Eastern District, where the uneven roads made it difficult for low-chassis cars to navigate smoothly. Because of this, Ethan left his Lamborghini parked on the street outside the alley and walked the rest of the way.

Chloe Mu held onto Ethan's arm as they strolled under the dim streetlights, cautiously glancing around.

"So you live here? Pretty low-key," Chloe remarked.

"Low-key? I've always lived here; it's my family's old house," Ethan replied with a chuckle. "Did you think I was some big shot? Actually, I'm not."

"Not really?" Chloe laughed. "Then why are people so scared of you? You make one call, and they're kneeling at your feet, and you even dare to steal someone else's Lamborghini."

"Don't you get it? It's the same day, repeating over and over, for a thousand years. Over this time, I've learned so much, and I know a lot about nearly everyone with any social standing in Sea City."

"But actually, I don't truly know anyone. I know about them; they don't know me. I just hold certain information that lets me leverage them, and I don't have to worry about being found out because everything resets. Get it?"

"So… you were bluffing them?" Chloe stopped walking and released his arm.

"Pretty much." Ethan shrugged. "What? Having second thoughts? Realized I'm not some big deal, and now you don't want to come home with me? Suit yourself."

Ethan spoke as he slid his hands into his pockets and leisurely continued toward home.

Ethan never forced a woman to do anything. It was against his moral code. He had once let himself go wild, but eventually, he set strict boundaries to prevent himself from losing control, falling into madness, and suffering endless torment. To live like a real person, he upheld his moral standards.

Tap-tap-tap!

Suddenly, hurried footsteps sounded from behind.

"Hey, I'm here!"

Ethan felt a weight on his back. Chloe had run over and jumped onto him, asking for a piggyback.

"Why didn't you keep walking?" Ethan adjusted his hold on Chloe and kept moving forward.

"Why would I leave?"

"I'm not a big deal, remember?"

"Who cares? You're interesting."

"Little girls shouldn't be so casual."

"Ha! You claim to have slept with a thousand women, and you're lecturing me?"

"I thought you didn't believe me?"

"I'll believe you for now; it doesn't matter. I'll just assume what you said is true, so it's fine. Whatever we do today, once I wake up, it'll all reset, right? I won't know you, and nothing will have happened, correct?"

"Yeah, that's right."

With Chloe on his back, Ethan returned home, opened the door, and let her down inside.

Though it was an old house, the layout was decent. It had three bedrooms and a living room, spacious enough, albeit modestly decorated, with a style that was over twenty years old.

"It's so clean here; it doesn't look like a bachelor's home," Chloe remarked as she looked around.

"One day isn't enough to make much of a mess," Ethan explained, pointing. "The bathroom's over there; the hairdryer is on the second shelf in the cabinet inside. There's only my towel, so you'll have to use it."

"Hm?" Chloe turned around with a puzzled look. "Why are you telling me all this?"

"To shower, of course. Aren't you going to shower?" Ethan asked back.

"Y-You, you perv! The first thing you tell me to do is shower. What's in that head of yours?" Chloe marched over and poked him repeatedly.

"What else? What did you come to my place for? To sightsee?" Ethan chuckled.

"You're so straightforward; you know nothing about girls," Chloe blushed.

"Are you saying I don't know women?" Ethan laughed strangely. "I know them all too well. That's why I don't bother being careful. Besides, time is running out."

"Running out? What do you mean?"

"At precisely 4 a.m., I'll fall asleep, whether I want to or not. I'll be out cold, and when I wake up, it'll be 7 a.m. You understand?"

"It's not even midnight yet; you've got over four hours."

"Three times." Ethan held up three fingers.

"Three times for what?" Chloe didn't understand.

"Didn't you date someone before? And you don't know this?" Ethan asked, surprised.

"When did I ever have a boyfriend?" Chloe was genuinely puzzled.

Ethan paused, surprised. Was his information incorrect?

In the thousand years he'd been looping, he'd met Chloe hundreds of times, mostly at the Lotus Bar and sometimes randomly while he pursued other girls. He'd heard that Chloe had a boyfriend.

However, he had never planned on pursuing Chloe, so he had never investigated her thoroughly.

"Then who's that, Aaron Sun?" Ethan asked directly.

"Wow! You even know that jerk? How much did my dog friend tell you about me?"

"Didn't you date him?"

"Nope!"

"Then why did people say he was your boyfriend?"

"Well… we were arranged to marry since childhood. My grandpa and his grandpa made a verbal agreement, but my parents don't acknowledge it. Then… in middle school, that jerk transferred to Sea City and told everyone I was his girlfriend. That's it…"

"So what happened after that?"

"I asked my cousin to get some guys to beat him up, and then he transferred out of Sea City again."

"Oh, I see…" Ethan nodded.

Since Aaron Sun wasn't a local of Sea City, Ethan hadn't investigated him, and because he hadn't pursued Chloe, he hadn't looked into her deeply either. He'd just heard random things that led to the misunderstanding.

"So… you're still… that?" Ethan asked with a curious expression.

"Huh?" Chloe looked at him, confused.

Ethan didn't explain. With a sudden motion, he swept her up in his arms and headed straight for the bathroom.

"What are you doing?!"

"Let's shower together."

"You, you… you're so bad…"

That night, Chloe finally understood what Ethan meant by "three times."

The morning arrived, and at precisely 7 a.m., Ethan awoke, staring blankly at the ceiling. Another loop. This was his routine—waking up, gazing at the ceiling, and thinking about what he'd done "yesterday."

"Hey! You jerk! Didn't you say July 7th keeps repeating? Every day resets. So how do you explain that today is July 8th?" A girl's voice suddenly drifted over.

Ethan was nearly startled out of his skin. He sat up abruptly and turned to look beside him.

Chloe, wrapped in a blanket, clutched a baseball bat, her face scrunched up, glaring fiercely at him.
