"Wait… can the ghosts in this Horror Game world really create such a massive, cursed domain?" Luo Shu crouched down, pressing his fingers into the fleshy, pulsing surface of the meat-like mat that had spread across the floor. It was warm, viscous, and faintly writhing beneath his touch. Since the way out was blocked and he couldn't contribute directly, he took the opportunity to observe and investigate.

"This could be some kind of illusion," he mused aloud, then, with an inquisitive look, licked a bit of the sticky substance off his hand. A hint of rot lingered, sour and metallic. "If it's not an illusion… then this is incredible!" He pondered a wild thought: "If this flesh is safe to consume, think about it—raise enough of these ghosts and let them produce this meat mat. It could solve world hunger!"

[I'm eating right now! Stop, Luo Shu!]

[No way—I'd rather starve!]

[I swear, only Luo Shu would think of this right now!]

[Just chilling in a death trap, solving global issues!]

Meanwhile, the Lady Ghost's hair wrapped around Hiroshi Toyokawa, forming a black cocoon. However, the moment the meat mat formed, it began shrinking, as if Taro was melting away inside. She quickly unraveled her hair, but the cocoon was empty. "That old man… he's gone!" she whispered.

Suddenly, the Little Girl Ghost cried out, "Mommy!" Her parents turned to her and froze. A skeletal hand had emerged from the writhing mat, grabbing her ankle, and slowly pulling her down. Taro's grip was relentless. Half of her left leg was already submerged in the meat mat, and she was slipping deeper by the second.

The Suit Ghost, his eyes weeping bloody tears, unleashed a wave of psychic energy, causing the ground to ripple and part, exposing a glimpse of Taro's ghastly face. But the pull of the mat was strong, and the Little Girl Ghost was slipping beyond their reach.

Then came a fierce, booming yell: "Hey!"

In a blinding flash, the fleshy barricade blocking the hallway was ripped open. Sylas Young, brandishing her trusty iron shovel, bashed through the wall of meat, smashing Taro's emerging skull with a powerful swing. The shovel, laden with years of curses, carried a fierce energy that struck Taro with force, slicing through him like a scythe.

Luo Shu was stunned. "What are you doing here?!" he demanded.

"What else?" Sylas retorted, looking at him as though he were the crazy one. "I'm here to save you!"

For a moment, Luo Shu was speechless, somewhere between exasperated and touched. Is she an idiot? He had been confident that a solution would present itself based on the game's difficulty scaling. Even without the forbidden skill he had unlocked, he would have figured something out, like reuniting the family ghosts to strengthen them against Taro. But Sylas's presence complicated things—she could be dragged into the danger herself.

The Little Girl Ghost, now freed, looked at Sylas and whispered, "Thank you, big sister."

Sylas offered an uneasy smile, managing a tense, "You're welcome, sweetheart." Steeling herself, she turned to Luo Shu and barked, "You have something to finish, right? Get on with it! I'll handle him!"

Taro's spectral form fixed his hollow eyes on Sylas, seething with hatred. With a bellow, he charged at her, but she met him head-on, her shovel slashing through the air and landing with a splatter of ghostly blood. Each hit with the shovel brought forth a dark mist, the "Sha" energy within it tearing through Taro's form.

Luo Shu knew he had no time to waste. With a nod, he darted out through the opening Sylas had created, calling to the ghosts, "Come on! Quickly, with me!"

As he reached the courtyard, he began chanting the incantation for Forbidden Art: Soul Fusion. His hands moved in rapid sequences of seals, the words pouring out as his fingers danced. The first half of the chant was in Japanese, carrying a dire intent:

"I reverse the order of Yin and Yang!"

"I summon you, spirits of the deceased, to bind this forbidden pact!"

"I shall trespass the forbidden boundary between life and death!"

The latter part was in an unrecognizable, twisted language—alien sounds that defied easy comprehension. Without the skill being directly transferred to his mind, Luo Shu doubted he could have even managed the pronunciation.

The final hand seal took shape, the Reverse Sun Seal.

A gust of wind exploded from the center of the courtyard, drawing a whirlwind of sakura petals around Luo Shu and the three ghosts. A storm of blossoms whirled faster and faster, forming a vibrant cyclone. Luo Shu felt it—the ghosts' energy merging with his own. A tingling lightness filled him, and his thoughts began to blur, fraying at the edges. His Sanity Level fluctuated wildly.

In moments, the storm quieted, the petals scattered, and in the serene fall of blossoms, a transformed Luo Shu stood. His appearance was drastically altered. His hair had grown long, cascading down his back, his skin ghostly pale, and his eyes a solid, obsidian black, as though drained of all humanity.

"So, this is…" he murmured, marveling at his elongated, razor-sharp fingers. A smirk crept across his ghostly features as he said, almost in wonder, "The power… of a ghost."
