"Are you really planning to overthrow Zeus?"

Aphrodite finally spoke after a long silence.

Bolos chuckled lightly. "Metis's death taught me one thing—never place hope in Zeus's mercy."

"He may have merely banished me from Mount Olympus for now, but I'm certain that if given the chance, he'll try to kill me."

Bolos had long come to terms with this reality.

"But you've sworn never to ascend Mount Olympus again. How will you overthrow Zeus?" Aphrodite asked.

"If I never go up, does that mean Zeus will never come down? The moment I find another mountain and proclaim myself the King of the Gods, Zeus will certainly come looking for me."

"That won't be easy," Aphrodite muttered softly. Suddenly, she turned around in Bolos's arms, her features exquisite, her gaze affectionate. "If I help you become the King of the Gods, what will I get in return?"

What an employee—asking what they'll get instead of what they can offer. Not qualified at all.

Bolos had this thought, but what he said was, "You'll obtain the highest position beneath the King of the Gods."

Upon hearing this, Aphrodite recalled what Bolos had said about the situation on Olympus. The Divine Being with the highest position under the King of the Gods Zeus was Queen of the Gods Hera.

Which meant Bolos was offering her the title of Queen of the Gods.

It was the highest honor a goddess could attain. She was immediately satisfied and said, "In that case, I'm willing to help you become the new King of the Gods and overthrow Zeus's rule."

Bolos didn't feel overly pleased by Aphrodite's declaration of allegiance.

Such an allegiance was too unreliable.

For all he knew, Aphrodite could betray him at any time.

"No rush. Once I become a Supreme God, or gain the power of one, I'll force her to swear an oath like Metis did."

Compared to verbal promises, Bolos trusted the Tree of Life's leaves and binding oaths more.

In the Faith System, after Kingdom, Foundation, Glory, and Victory, the fifth step was Beauty.

If, by the time Bolos reached that step, Aphrodite had not disappointed him, he would make her his angel of beauty.

But if she did disappoint him, then let her fall.

After Aphrodite made her vow, Bolos knew it was time to leave.

Back on Olympus, Hera had told him the reason Zeus had taken Artemis and Apollo early.

The three goddesses who controlled fate had sensed a shift in destiny and had ascended Mount Olympus to warn Zeus.

Though Bolos was cultivating the Grand Destiny Art, he had yet to truly comprehend the essence of fate and could not effectively guard against it.

Aphrodite, too, had originally been one of the twelve Supreme Gods on Mount Olympus. Her decision might very well draw the attention of the Fates.

This place was no longer safe for him. It was time to leave.

"You're leaving already?" Aphrodite asked, somewhat reluctant. Since her birth, she had never interacted with other Divine Beings and wished to spend more time with Bolos.

"No need to be sad. Once we overthrow Zeus, we'll be together forever," Bolos said.

"But right now, I still lack the power. I need to find a place to grow quickly—and I need more allies."

Aphrodite agreed with this. From the stories Bolos had told, she understood that Zeus had become the King of the Gods not because he was stronger than Cronus, but because he had more allies.

Over half of the twelve Titan Supreme Gods from the previous Divine Realm supported him—either fighting for him or remaining neutral.

The three Hecatoncheires and three Cyclopes born of Uranus and Mother Earth also supported Zeus.

Numerous second-generation Titans were also his allies.

With such a powerful coalition, it still took ten years of war to defeat Cronus. That alone spoke volumes about the strength of the current King of the Gods.

"When I finally emerge, how will I find you?"

Aphrodite was currently fusing the Divine Office of Love with the Divine Office of Beauty that she had already fully mastered to build her own divine system.

Once complete, she would emerge from the shell left by Thalassa and assist Bolos.

Bolos thought for a moment and said, "I'll be walking among mortals. Where mankind thrives most, you will find my trail."

Leaving her with that, Bolos asked Aphrodite to open the shell. Holding the Staff of Life, he departed from the sea.

Just as Bolos stepped onto land, divine light shot from the direction of Mount Olympus. A number of Divine Beings flew toward the sea.

"You've got to be kidding…"

Bolos had sharp eyes and could clearly see that leading the group was none other than the King of the Gods, Zeus.

And the destination they were heading toward—was precisely the sea region Bolos had just left, where the Goddess of Love and Beauty, Aphrodite, was being nurtured.

"Hmph, so that's where he was. No wonder Hera couldn't find him."

Even flying overhead, Zeus noticed Bolos's presence.

He snorted coldly but didn't make a move against him. Instead, he flew right over Bolos and straight toward the shimmering sea.

"Fates, how should I deal with you?"

Behind Zeus were six of his oldest daughters—Horae and the Fates.

Even with limited information, Bolos could guess Zeus's arrival was due to the Fates.

In the original myths, only the Horae came to greet Aphrodite's birth—neither Zeus nor the Fates appeared.

"So this is the place?"

Zeus, looking disheveled, arrived at the sea as guided by the Fates, his expression displeased.

He had left Olympus in a spat with Hera and was enjoying himself with a mortal beauty when the Fates barged in, telling him that Olympus's Destiny had shifted and he needed to act at once.

He hadn't even finished his business when he threw on some clothes, summoned the Horae, and rushed to this otherwise forgotten sea.

"Yes, this is the place," the Fates confirmed. "The youngest daughter granted Authority by the first King of the Gods is being nurtured here. She is destined to become one of the twelve Supreme Gods on Mount Olympus. She absolutely must not go elsewhere."

"Elsewhere?" Zeus's brows furrowed. "Where else could she go?"
