A Thought

"Granny Zha, that can't be true..." said the acting captain of the Kuja Pirates.

Traditionally, the captain of the Kuja Pirates was also the queen of Daughter Country, but since the throne was currently vacant, she was acting as the interim leader.

Daughter Country itself was governed jointly by Granny Zha in civil affairs and the acting captain in military matters.

"You saw that dragon just now," Granny Zha said, shaking her head. "Its strength is probably on par with an Admiral. Do you think someone capable of taming that would be weak?"

"An Admiral?!"

The acting captain of the Kuja Pirates was stunned. She had known Sky Dragon was powerful, but she hadn't realized it could rival an Admiral.

In the Marine Headquarters, there were only three Admirals on the surface, and each represented the peak of world power.

Each one could rival the might of an entire nation.

Now, the acting captain finally understood why Granny Zha hadn't tried to drive Ye Chen away.

It wasn't that she didn't want to—it was that she didn't dare.

Provoking someone of Admiral-level power would spell disaster for Daughter Country.

Granny Zha stared at the now-vanished dot in the distance and sighed, "Who knows where this person came from, but even his mount is at Admiral level."

The acting captain could only nod with resignation.

"Come on, let's go prepare the Devil Fruit for his return," Granny Zha instructed.

Granny Zha wasn't worried at all about whether Ye Chen would succeed.

Although Celestial Gold was under the command of the Celestial Dragons, their overall strength wasn't actually high. It was only because of the World Government's protection that no one dared to touch them.

With a powerhouse like Sky Dragon at his side, retrieving Hancock would be a simple task for Ye Chen.

All they needed to do was wait for his return.

………

Beneath the vast blue sky, a streak of red light shot through the air at blinding speed.

That red light was none other than Osiris's Sky Dragon.

Ye Chen sat on Sky Dragon's head, holding the newspaper Granny Zha had given him.

Inside were both the current location of Celestial Gold and a map leading from Daughter Country to their present position.

"The land of Wano."

It was a small nation in the first half of the Grand Line, and it was Ye Chen's destination.

Every year, nations allied with the World Government were required to offer tribute to the Celestial Dragons, and Celestial Gold was the fleet responsible for transporting those tributes.

Each time they arrived in a country, Celestial Gold would stay there for three days.

Currently, they had already spent two days in The land of Wano—which meant only one day remained before they set sail.

Once they left The land of Wano and disappeared into the vast sea, tracking them down would become much harder.

To reach The land of Wano before Celestial Gold departed, Ye Chen urged Sky Dragon to fly at full speed.

As one of the Three God Cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh! world, Sky Dragon's speed was extraordinary.

From Ye Chen's perspective atop Sky Dragon's head, the scenery below zipped by like scenes flashing in a movie.

They were already traveling faster than the speed of sound.

At that velocity, Ye Chen's body definitely wouldn't have been able to endure the pressure.

But Sky Dragon's divine energy formed a protective barrier over Ye Chen, so he felt no discomfort at all.

"Boss! A red shooting star!"

A pirate aboard a nearby pirate ship pointed at the sky and shouted.

The pirate captain looked up but saw nothing. He punched the man in the head and scolded, "A red shooting star in brdaylight? Are you dreaming or just plain stupid?"

"But… I swear I saw it…"

"Shut up! Say another word and no dinner for you tonight."

"Yes, sir..." The pirate immediately shut his mouth. Skipping dinner was torture.

Thanks to Sky Dragon's full-speed flight, many strange incidents occurred along the way—some even made it into the newspaper.

………

"System, how do I get more chances for random exchanges?"

With some time to kill before reaching The land of Wano, Ye Chen asked the system.

"They are triggered by special energy," the system replied.

Ye Chen was stunned. What the hell is 'special energy'?

The system didn't elaborate—just said "special energy." Not even a rough idea?

"What qualifies as special energy?"

"Something like a Devil Fruit."

This time, the system actually gave a straightforward answer.

A Devil Fruit—now that was simple. Unlike some vague, mystical-sounding term like "special energy."

Ye Chen had already tasted the benefits of the random exchange system, and he was eager to try it again.

Trading a nest of birds for a dragon—what a deal.

Of course, Ye Chen knew that scoring Osiris's Sky Dragon was a stroke of insane luck.

But what if it happened again?

Luck was unpredictable, after all.

Now that he understood how to unlock more random exchanges, Ye Chen felt much more relaxed.

He also had a clear goal: collect more Devil Fruits.

However, relying solely on Sky Dragon wasn't realistic.

This world was full of hidden monsters—Four Emperors, Marine Headquarters Admirals, The Five Elders, and more.

With just Sky Dragon, Ye Chen still wouldn't be able to stand at the top.

And with his current tiny body, even a junior Marine could probably take him down.

He needed to grow stronger himself.

Time passed, and gradually, Sky Dragon began to slow down.

Before long, it came to a stop. Sky Dragon turned its massive head toward Ye Chen and growled softly.

"We're here?" Ye Chen stood up slowly and looked down.

Below was a spread of buildings, and among them, one tall structure stood out.

At the top of the tall structure, a large flag fluttered in the wind.

The symbol on it: a massive character—武.

The land of Wano had arrived.
