Being new to the area, Lin Chen and his team didn't fully understand the surroundings yet.

So, instead of splitting up, they kept all troops together under the command of the three heroes and headed east from the Divine Realm territory.

Dragonspine Mountain stretched thousands of kilometers from west to east.

The Divine Realm territory was now located on the westernmost outskirts.

Exploring the entire range was not something that could be done in a day or two.

However, Lin Chen's goal this time was simple: gather as many resources as possible and obtain a blueprint.

As for everything else—he wasn't strong enough for that yet.

Shortly after leaving the city, the trio encountered their first wave of monsters.

A group of Tier-4 Corrupted Boar Riders.

Stronger and more aggressive than the normal Tier-3 Boar Riders.

"Kill them!" Lin Chen ordered.

All thirty thousand troops immediately dove from the sky.

The Griffin Knights and Windrunner Archers coordinated their assault on the Corrupted Boar Riders.

The orcs riding those black-haired boars roared in rage, their eyes bloodshot as they charged at Lin Chen's forces.

But they couldn't fly, nor did they have any ranged attacks.

They couldn't even get close to the airborne Lin Chen and company.

The outcome was obvious.

With Griffin Knights, Windrunner Archers, and the trio's combined attacks raining down in waves, the thirty thousand-plus Corrupted Boar Riders were completely wiped out.

After the threat was cleared, Lin Chen instructed Ina and Jia Lou to collect the dropped materials, resources, and low-tier gear.

As for himself, he sealed a Purple Gold Resource Point that the Corrupted Boar Riders had been guarding using a Resource Point Transfer Scroll.

One purple-tier Gold Resource Point held 200,000 units of reserves.

If he gathered 100 of them, that meant 20 million gold per collection—that's insanely profitable!

Next, they discovered a golden treasure chest nearby and opened it immediately.

"You've opened a Golden Treasure Chest and received: 100,000 basic resources, Silver-Grade Equipment Chest ×2, Subject Refresh Card ×1, Equipment Enhancement Stones ×100, Skill Stones ×50."

Not bad—a decent haul.

A quick aside here on what Equipment Enhancement Stones and Skill Stones are:

[Equipment Enhancement Stone]

Description: Can be used to enhance equipment. Upon a successful enhancement, equipment attributes will improve.

Requires the [Forge] building.

[Skill Stone]

Description: Can be used to level up player, hero, or commander skills, increasing their power.

Requires the [Academy] building.

In simple terms, Equipment Enhancement Stones improve gear.

However, Lin Chen couldn't use them yet.

To use them, he needed to build a Forge, and the blueprint for that only unlocked when the territory reached Level 20, or could be obtained randomly from treasure chests.

Similarly, to use Skill Stones, he needed to build an Academy.

Again—requires a blueprint, either via reaching Level 20 or from treasure chests.

So for now, both types of stones were unusable.

Otherwise, Lin Chen would've used them already to boost his strength.

Taking all the resources they could carry, Lin Chen mounted his Griffin Knight and took off again, flying alongside Ina and Jia Lou toward their next location.

Well, not that they had a specific destination.

They were basically just pushing horizontally through Dragonspine Mountain.

Any resource they could carry, any treasure chest they could open—they'd take them all.

They continued this sweep for an entire day.

By the time the golden sun set and night approached, Lin Chen, Ina, and Jia Lou finally returned to the Divine Realm territory with their troops.

Lilith had already prepared dinner.

When she saw them return, she rushed over and invited the three to sit down and eat.

"Did anything happen in the territory while we were gone?" Lin Chen asked.

Lilith shook her head.

"There were two waves of attacks, but they weren't large. The Windrunner Archers fended them off."

As expected.

The protection period was over, and this place was close to Dragonspine Mountain.

Monster attacks were inevitable.

This also served as a wake-up call for Lin Chen.

If he wanted to survive long-term in Dragonspine Mountain, he needed to strengthen himself quickly.

Otherwise, one wave of monsters might wipe out his territory.

Soon after, the four of them finished their hearty meal.

Lin Chen began sorting through the day's spoils.

— Roughly 3 million basic resources

— Over 100,000 units of food

— 19 Bronze-tier pieces of equipment

— 12 Silver-grade pieces

— 6 Gold-grade pieces

— 2 Platinum-grade pieces

Nothing above platinum this time.

All usable gear was prioritized for Lin Chen and his three heroes.

What they didn't need would be sold later for more currency and recharging.

Then came the troops.

— Three Tier-1 troops

— Three Tier-2 troops

— One Tier-3 troop

Altogether, this haul was worth nearly 20 million.

Lastly were the miscellaneous items—materials, tools, scrolls, and so on.

Lin Chen didn't even bother to count those anymore.

As night fell, the three women arranged for Windrunner Archers to guard the city walls and returned to their own residences.

Meanwhile, Lin Chen sorted out all the troops and equipment available for sale and listed them on the marketplace:

Bronze Equipment: 30,000 each

Silver Equipment: 50,000 each

Gold Equipment: 200,000 each

Platinum Equipment: 1,000,000 each

Tier-1 troops: 200,000 each

Tier-2 troops: 3,000,000 each

Tier-3 troops: 10,000,000 each

Prices had clearly dropped compared to yesterday.

There was no helping it.

As more players gained access to high-tier gear and troops, market supply increased, and prices naturally went down.

Unless you were selling something far beyond the current game stage, you couldn't command top-tier prices anymore.

Shaking his head, Lin Chen clicked to confirm the listings.

He then exited the market and returned to his room, cutting his connection to Era of Lords for the night.
