Zhou Chenchen spoke to her dad but was still a bit worried.

"Dad!"

"Let Lord take the phone."

"I want to say a few words to him."

She said this to Zhou's Dad.

Zhou's Dad looked a little helpless—so his daughter still didn't fully trust him!

He glanced at Fang Ping, feeling a bit sour. After raising his daughter with so much care, it turned out even a cat was more trusted than him.

Still, he brought the phone close to Fang Ping's cat ears and put it on speaker.

"Lord!"

"Are you there?"

"If you're there, say something. I want to hear if you're okay."

Zhou Chenchen's slightly hoarse voice came through the phone.

Fang Ping twitched his ears. He really didn't feel like talking.

"Meow (Yes)!"

But he didn't want Zhou Chenchen to worry, so he replied.

Zhou's Dad's hand trembled. He suddenly remembered—this was the little brat that had startled him with a shout earlier!

On the other end, Zhou Chenchen let out a breath of relief. She was already used to Lord's voice.

"As long as you're okay."

"My dad is at home with you now… He's actually a pretty good person."

"I won't be home for the next couple of days, so let him take care of you. Be good, and behave yourself."

"Follow my dad, you'll eat well and drink well—mm, drink well and eat well."

"Also, my dad, listen—Lord is on a Pet Reality Show livestream now. Don't interfere, and definitely don't object, or I'll be mad."

"You two, did you hear me? Answer if you heard."

Zhou Chenchen reminded them seriously. She had thought of every detail, even the show.

"Okay!"

"Meow (Okay)!"

Two voices replied.

Both Zhou's Dad and Fang Ping responded.

Zhou's Dad looked around again. When the white-haired old man explained things earlier, he had been too focused on his daughter to pay attention.

This room has livestream equipment?

Did everything I just said get streamed?

Thinking back, he hadn't done anything too embarrassing—

So he let it go. Otherwise, he might've lost his temper.

"Chenchen! I'm taking Lord out for dinner, is that okay?"

After a moment's thought, Zhou's Dad asked again.

"No problem. If you want Lord to go with you, just tell him. He's very obedient."

Zhou Chenchen said a few more things to her dad and reminded Fang Ping once more to behave, then hung up the phone.

"Let's go! We're heading out to eat."

Zhou's Dad said to Fang Ping.

He wasn't sure if the cat could understand, but since his daughter said it could, he'd treat it as if it could.

Fang Ping had been lying on the sofa. When Zhou's Dad said that, he twitched his ears and stood up.

He had listened to what Zhou Chenchen said.

Alright then!

Might as well go with Zhou's Dad.

After all, it was just a meal—he was happy to freeload.

If you can't treat yourself well as a human, at least do so as a cat.

Zhou's Dad was a bit amazed. This cat really could understand him?

He and Fang Ping walked out the door. The filming crew was already waiting outside.

Zhou's Dad now knew who these people were, and his aura as a man of stature naturally surfaced.

The crew exchanged glances but didn't say anything. It was their job, so they followed.

Zhou's Dad gave a small snort but didn't object.

He often appeared on TV and did interviews. Though he wasn't fond of being filmed, he remembered Zhou Chenchen mentioning the Pet Reality Show, so he tolerated it.

The crew let out a quiet sigh of relief. They'd really been afraid Zhou's Dad would refuse.

If that happened, the livestream would've been cut short.

Zhou's Dad and Fang Ping went downstairs. With Zhou's Dad around, naturally, Fang Ping didn't need to press elevator buttons or anything—Zhou's Dad took care of it all.

In a way, Fang Ping was the cat master, and Zhou's Dad was the Poop Scooper-in-Chief.

Serving the cat master—well, that was Zhou's Dad's job.

Zhou's Dad hadn't watched the show and didn't know Fang Ping could take the elevator and go downstairs by himself.

Otherwise, he'd have been even more shocked.

He even thought: if I weren't here, this cat would probably just stay home, with no one to feed or care for him.

With that in mind, his gaze toward Fang Ping softened a little.

Outside the residential complex—

A Rolls-Royce Phantom was parked at the entrance.

Two black Mercedes in front and behind, with five or six burly men in black suits and sunglasses, eyes alert and scanning the surroundings.

This was Zhou's Dad's entourage.

As soon as Zhou's Dad appeared, the door of the Phantom opened.

A graceful figure stepped out.

A long, sleek, and shapely leg stepped from the car.

Fair white skin shimmered in the light, and her feet wore glossy black heels.

With the second leg stepping out, a gorgeous woman with a commanding aura stood in front of Zhou's Dad.

She looked about twenty-seven or twenty-eight, with a stunningly refined face and deep, captivating eyes—easily a 9.5 out of 10.

"Chairman!"

This was Zhou's Dad's female secretary. She greeted him respectfully.

"Mm."

"You sit in the front seat."

"Lord and I will sit in the back."

Zhou's Dad spoke sternly. She was just a company secretary—there was nothing else going on.

The secretary paused, then realized he meant the cat.

She looked down at Fang Ping, thinking, So this cat is Lord. The chairman asked me to contact the cat expert probably because of him.

With that thought, the secretary began to take Fang Ping more seriously.

Nothing was a small matter when it concerned the chairman.

Zhou's Dad got into the backseat first. He didn't shut the door and looked at Fang Ping.

"Lord, get in."

He was now sure the cat could understand human speech.

But Fang Ping glanced at Zhou's Dad, flicked his tail, and didn't budge.

"Why aren't you getting in? We're going to eat something delicious!"

Zhou's Dad wondered if he had spoken too sternly.

Lord wasn't like other cats—his tone seemed to matter. The cat really was something else.

But Fang Ping only twitched his ears and remained perfectly still.

He didn't really like sitting next to Zhou's Dad. Two guys sitting side by side—how awkward was that?

"Chairman!"

"How about I hold Lord?"

"I have plenty of room up here."

At that moment, the secretary, already seated in the front, spoke considerately.

Zhou's Dad gave her a stern look.

"You don't know. Lord doesn't like strangers. I have a hard time just getting him to listen."

He said.

Before he finished, Fang Ping arched his back, and with a quick motion, lightly jumped onto the female secretary's long legs.

Squinting his eyes—

Comfortably lying down!

Zhou's Dad: "..."
