After spending the night in the estate, Ye Yun woke up fully refreshed around ten in the morning.
At the dining table, Ye Yun was having breakfast.
His breakfast looked simple—coffee, oat bread, and dessert—but each item was surprisingly expensive.
The coffee was brewed from Kona beans grown right on the estate, rich and aromatic. The bread was made from select oats and premium yeast, baked fresh by a maid who got up two hours early. The dessert was crafted from aged, fermented goat milk cheese.
Apart from not being used to the cheese, Ye Yun found the breakfast quite satisfying.
After eating, Ye Yun hopped into one of the estate's golf carts and began a full-island drive, mainly to survey the terrain and see if he could match the locations on the Treasure Map. It also gave him the chance to enjoy the island's scenery.
The Big Island's landscape was naturally breathtaking. In fact, the number of tourists visiting The Big Island each year rivaled those going to Oahu.
After a full circle around the island, Ye Yun headed into town to see the mayor, hoping to find an old map of The Big Island.
But when he followed the townspeople's directions and found the mayor, Ye Yun was taken aback.
"Uncle Driver?!"
Ye Yun stared in disbelief at the white man in a floral shirt and brightly colored beach shorts standing in front of him.
"You're… that young guy from yesterday?"
The man also recognized Ye Yun, surprise written all over his face.
No one was more shocked than Ye Yun—this so-called mayor was the very driver who'd taken him to the estate the day before.
He was the mayor?!
"Aren't you just a driver?"
Ye Yun asked, completely confused.
The driver looked a little embarrassed, scratched his head, and explained:
"Well, I was just looking to make a little extra money on the side… Let me formally introduce myself. I'm Larrick, the mayor of Deloro Town."
"I'm Ye Yun."
Recovering from the shock, Ye Yun reached out to shake Larrick's hand and introduced himself as well.
"Ye Yun? Sounds like you're from L Country. Are you really the owner of that estate up on the mountain?"
Larrick couldn't help but ask. What he saw yesterday had completely stunned him.
"Yes, the previous owner passed away. I inherited it. This is actually my first time here."
Ye Yun shamelessly made something up.
Hearing that, Larrick looked at Ye Yun with newfound respect. Owning such a vast estate meant he had to be someone important.
As the mayor, Larrick handled most of the affairs on the island and naturally knew just how much influence that estate held over The Big Island.
"I see. So, Mr. Ye, what can I help you with today?"
Larrick asked respectfully.
Noticing the change in the other man's tone, Ye Yun smiled and stated his purpose. "I'd like to find an old map of The Big Island—the older, the better."
"An old map of The Big Island? That's easy. Mr. Ye, come with me."
Larrick readily agreed without asking further and brought Ye Yun to the town library.
After searching with the librarian for quite some time, they finally dug up a stack of maps from the shelves.
"Maps of Hawaii are redrawn every ten years. These here span the last hundred years."
Larrick handed over a dusty pile of maps and smiled at Ye Yun.
Ye Yun took the maps and flipped through them one by one. Sure enough, he found one that looked similar to his Treasure Map.
"This is it!"
Ye Yun was thrilled and set the matching map aside. Then he smiled at Larrick and said, "You've really helped me a lot. I'll borrow this map for a few days and return it in perfect condition."
"Mayor Larrick, if you have time, you're welcome to visit my estate. I'd be delighted to have you."
Ye Yun was genuinely grateful for the help. He felt like the treasure was practically waving at him now.
Hearing the invitation, Larrick's eyes lit up, but after thinking for a moment, he politely declined and instead said:
"That was no trouble at all. But since you're a first-time visitor to The Big Island, Mr. Ye, how would you like to join our Bonfire Festival tonight?"
Bonfire Festival was one of Hawaii's local traditions. Wearing flower garlands, sunbathing, and joining the Bonfire Festival were some of the top activities on every tourist's list.
However, Bonfire Festivals were held irregularly—attending one came down to luck.
And as it happened, one was being held that very evening.
"Bonfire Festival?"
Ye Yun's eyes lit up. He'd always been curious about this legendary Hawaiian tradition, and now that he had the chance, he couldn't pass it up. He agreed immediately.
Being able to invite Ye Yun delighted Larrick, who promptly dragged him off for a round of drinks.
Hawaiian locals were indeed warm and sincere, something Ye Yun could now personally confirm.
Time passed quickly. By dusk, people were already preparing on the beach, and once the sun had fully set, large bonfires roared to life across the sand, marking the start of a wild celebration.
Barbecue, beer, dancing, and beautiful women—that was the entire essence of the Bonfire Festival.
Ye Yun's identity had already spread through the town thanks to Larrick. Many curious eyes turned toward him, eager to get a glimpse of the mysterious and youthful estate owner.
Ye Yun's good looks and fit physique—maintained by regular workouts—naturally attracted quite a few admirers. Many beautiful women came up to chat with him. Some men did too, drawn both by his appearance and his impressive status.
Ye Yun could only respond with a darkened expression and turn them down. He had no interest in being anyone's "flower," nor did he want to pluck anyone else's.
"Hahaha! Mr. Ye, you're quite the popular one!"
Larrick laughed as he watched Ye Yun try to fend off the attention. He handed him another beer.
"All thanks to you!"
Ye Yun shot him a glare and grumbled before taking a big swig.
Though he had an introverted nature and didn't quite feel comfortable in such a lively atmosphere, simply drinking and people-watching was still quite enjoyable.
But then Ye Yun's gaze swept across a figure in the distance—and suddenly froze.
He narrowed his eyes and stared for a moment before standing up and walking over.
