It took Lu Sheng a long time to recover from the exhaustion caused by his first practice of the Starforge Body Art. This had been the most intense training session in the dream space so far.
After managing to regain some energy, Lu Sheng once again issued a command to his light brain.
"Query, the best supplements to replenish vitality for a Level 1 Warrior..."
"Querying..."
"Shua—"
A large amount of information appeared before Lu Sheng.
"Simulated conditions, 300 years of martial arts experience, feasible formula..."
"Filtering..."
The information quickly narrowed down.
Soon, only a few entries remained, each with detailed formulas for the herbs, their current names, and historical names, saving Lu Sheng a lot of trouble.
Lu Sheng memorized these formulas and then chose to wake up.
"Smelly..."
As soon as Lu Sheng woke up, he was greeted by an overpowering foul odor.
He hurriedly sat up, only to realize that his entire body was covered in a layer of dark, greasy sludge. The smell was coming from the muck.
"It's because of the Starforge Body Art and Nature's Pulse Breathing. Even though I only practiced in the dream space, a part of the effect must have carried over into the real world..."
It was like how normal people might cry in real life after dreaming of something sad or tense, as the brain stimulates the muscles to react.
Realizing this, Lu Sheng immediately took a shower.
"My vitality index should have increased, but I wonder by how much..."
With his wet hair dripping, Lu Sheng glanced at the clock on the wall and thought, "It's almost time to go to school."
"Next time, at least let me know beforehand."
Zhong Zhenguo handed Lu Sheng a bank card, his tone slightly displeased.
"Understood, Teacher Zhong."
Zhong Zhenguo seemed to want to say more but stopped when he saw Lu Sheng's calm expression. He sighed, "Fine, fine. At least report to school once every week."
"Yes."
Lu Sheng took the bank card, turned, and left.
Watching Lu Sheng's retreating figure, Zhong Zhenguo felt a strange, inexplicable sensation inside him. It was as though the Lu Sheng he knew had changed. He couldn't quite figure out the reason for this shift, but he felt that the boy before him had become less predictable.
Shaking his head, Zhong Zhenguo decided not to dwell on it.
"Finally, a bit of money..."
As Lu Sheng left Teacher Zhong's office, he felt a rare sense of reassurance. This money, of course, wouldn't be used on supplements directly. That would be a waste.
The best way to use it would be to buy materials and prepare the formulas himself.
The formulas he'd found in the Fire Seed resource library would be perfect for this. Now, it was time to filter which ones would suit him best.
The primary criterion for this decision, however, was the cost.
He quickly located a nearby internet café and logged on.
He wondered if Teacher Zhong would be furious knowing his most trusted student, after negotiating for flexible school hours, had immediately gone into an internet café.
With practiced ease, Lu Sheng registered and took a seat.
The internet café was filled with smoke. Lu Sheng casually chose a spot to sit.
On either side of him, several young men were engrossed in their games. Their hair was dyed in various colors, and they had tattoos on their arms. They sneered when they saw Lu Sheng open his computer to search for information but didn't pay much attention after that.
Lu Sheng ignored them, focusing on checking the details of each formula in his mind.
He mainly needed to check the prices of the herbs, calculating the cost of each formula to find the most cost-effective one for himself.
Soon, he had narrowed it down to two formulas: Lingji Zhuangxue Soup and Yang Sui Dan.
Both had ingredients that were readily available on the market and were affordable within Lu Sheng's budget.
Yang Sui Dan was the more effective of the two, but Lu Sheng found that one of its ingredients had to be harvested fresh and used within hours, and it wasn't available in Baihe City.
"Then I'll go with Lingji Zhuangxue Soup. It's simpler to prepare, and it's better suited for a beginner like me..."
With this decision made, Lu Sheng's only remaining concern was where to prepare the medicine.
