It was a quiet night.

The next morning, at 5:30 AM, before the sun had even risen, Yang Fan got up quickly. He was eager to catch the yellowfin tuna, which were worth millions. He didn't mind losing some sleep over it.

After a quick wash-up, Yang Fan went straight to the dock and found Yang Hongtao's new boat. On the boat, there was a hundred-meter-long sinking net.

This kind of net, with heavy lead weights, could sink to a depth of dozens of meters. Yang Hongtao had prepared this net specifically because the yellowfin tuna typically lived at depths of around 50 to 60 meters.

He started the engine and set off.

After an hour of sailing, Yang Fan finally arrived at the area where he had found the yellowfin tuna the day before. By this time, the sun had just risen, casting a golden glow on the ocean, creating a magnificent sight.

While appreciating the beautiful sunrise, Yang Fan continued sailing leisurely, using his ability to see through the water to search for the yellowfin tuna.

This sea area was much richer in resources compared to the nearshore waters. As soon as Yang Fan scanned the water, he saw many different kinds of fish swimming freely in schools—devil rays, wolf fish, mullet, grouper, octopuses, carp, eels, pomfret, small sharks, and more...

But there was no yellowfin tuna in sight.

"Damn, don't tell me they've run away?" Yang Fan muttered.

After searching for about ten minutes with no sign of the yellowfin tuna, he started to worry. If they had escaped or been caught by someone else, it would be a huge loss for him!

He widened his search area.

Finally, after another half-hour of searching, he spotted the yellowfin tuna in a new location!

"Geez, they've swum so far!" Yang Fan grinned.

He immediately steered the boat into position and cast the net. As the lead weights sank, the hundred-meter fishing net spread across the water like a massive web, positioning itself directly in front of the yellowfin tuna.

As long as they kept swimming in their current direction, they would all be caught in the net.

However, catching them all in one go wasn't as easy as it seemed.

"Whoosh!"

Perhaps because some of the yellowfin tunas were particularly sensitive, they detected the danger and quickly swam in different directions to avoid the net.

But some tunas were too slow, and they swam right into the net, unaware of the danger until it was too late. They struggled frantically to escape, but the more they struggled, the tighter the net caught them.

With this, Yang Fan managed to catch about 10 yellowfin tuna, which made up roughly one-fourth of the entire school.

Seeing this, he excitedly pumped his fist and began using the net-lifting machine to pull the net back in.

Soon, the net was fully hauled up.

Yang Fan quickly untangled the 10 golden yellow tuna from the net and put them into large foam boxes, covering them with ice cubes to keep them fresh.

Why didn't he just use a cooler box?

Simple: the tuna was too large and too many to fit into a cooler. Anticipating this, Yang Fan had prepared two large foam boxes beforehand and filled them with ice.

Normally, he wouldn't have gone through all this trouble for regular fish. But these were yellowfin tuna, worth a lot of money, so they needed to be treated differently and kept fresh from the start, or else they'd spoil and he'd lose out.

The first catch was about a quarter of the school of yellowfin tuna. Yang Fan wasn't satisfied with this.

After sorting out the net, he cast again.

The second net brought in another 10 yellowfin tuna.

The third net caught 5 yellowfin tuna, as the school had started to scatter and panic.

The fourth net brought in only 3 yellowfin tuna.

The fifth net… was empty.

With nearly 36 yellowfin tuna caught and the remaining few fleeing, Yang Fan decided to let them go.

At this point, the school was very small, and after catching enough, Yang Fan believed it was time to stop. After all, wild yellowfin tuna was rare, and a school this size was hard to find. It was better to let the remaining fish go to ensure the population could continue to thrive.

While he initially felt a bit regretful about letting go of the remaining tuna—after all, they were worth millions—he ultimately made the decision to release them.

It wasn't out of some saintly impulse or an attitude of disregarding money. With the "Dragon Pearl" in his possession, Yang Fan felt a sense of duty to protect the ocean and its resources. He couldn't take too much, and he didn't want to wipe out all the fish for personal gain.

These last few yellowfin tunas would be left to thrive and hopefully grow into a larger school in the future.

"Alright, time to go."

Yang Fan smiled, satisfied with his decision. He began to pack up the net and prepared to return home.

Before he left, he took some photos of the 28-yellowfin tuna and sent them to Shen Yafei:

[Shen Boss, caught some more yellowfin tuna. Want them?]
