"Brother, it's been a while! How have you been?"

Sun Wukong somersaulted from the sky, landing lightly with a bright grin. Dressed in shining gold armor with a golden crown and cloud-walking boots, he radiated a dazzling aura.

"All's well!"

The Great King Yellow Wind returned the smile and glanced upward. Another figure descended on a golden cloud, breathing heavily as he slowed his pace.

"Finally caught up," the new arrival said, thumping his chest to steady his breathing. Meeting Yellow Wind's gaze, he cupped his hands respectfully. "Great King Yellow Wind, I've heard much about you."

Sun Wukong introduced him cheerfully. "This is the Yu Monkey King, a fellow demon king I met on Victory Mountain in the Eastern Continent. He also knows the Bull Demon King. When he heard I was traveling with you, he insisted on joining us. Hope you don't mind, brother?"

The Yu Monkey King

Standing just over six feet tall, the Yu Monkey King wasn't much larger than Sun Wukong.

He had a ghostly visage with a blue face, sharp fangs, and red eyes. His long tail swayed behind him, and his form resembled a tall macaque. Dressed in silver armor and long boots, his aura was imposing.

[Race: Demon – Yu Monkey]

[Realm: Mystic Immortal – Taiyi Ghost Immortal]

[Traits: Yu Monkey Divine Body (Gold), Spirit Binding (Gold), Crimson Sight of the Underworld (Gold), Master of Staff Techniques (Purple), Dreamweaving (Purple), Master of Blade Techniques (Purple), Fortune (Red)...]

"Impressive!" thought Yellow Wind.

With a smile, he replied, "Mind? Of course not. The more, the merrier. Traveling together makes the journey easier."

He added, "Besides, I've never been to the Bull Demon King's territory. Brother Yu Monkey, we'll have to rely on your guidance."

The Yu Monkey King chuckled. "It's nothing. Leading the way is the least I can do."

The Construction Site

Sun Wukong and the Yu Monkey King quickly noticed the bustling activity below.

Workers of all kinds were hard at work:

Rat demons felling trees.

Tiger and wolf demons hauling lumber.

Elephants carrying enormous stones.

Water demons clearing river paths.

Humans, with tools in hand, planning wood, carving intricate designs, and measuring structures.

"What's all this about, brother?" Sun Wukong asked, clearly intrigued.

"This isn't like Flower-Fruit Mountain, where the caves are naturally formed and plentiful," Yellow Wind explained. "This place is too open, so I'm building towers and pavilions."

"Come, both of you. Let's have some wine and rest. I'll finish making arrangements here, and then we can depart."

Sun Wukong, always curious and restless, laughed. "Good, good! I'd like to see more of this!"

The Yu Monkey King nodded amiably. "When in someone else's land, it's only right to follow their customs."

The Campsite

As they entered the camp, Sun Wukong greeted Golden Lion and playfully teased Old Black Fox, snatching his identity badge.

"What's this?" Sun Wukong asked, inspecting it.

Yellow Wind explained, "It's a wooden badge carved from peachwood. It contains basic information like name, origin, and age."

"Interesting!" Sun Wukong said, tossing the badge back to Old Black Fox. "I want one, too!"

"That's easy enough," Yellow Wind replied.

He took out a piece of light purple wood and quickly carved a badge for Sun Wukong, handing it over.

Sun Wukong noticed the color difference and asked, "Why isn't mine the same as theirs?"

Yellow Wind explained, "We use three types of badges. Temporary ones are white, permanent residents have natural wood-colored badges, and special guests or talents like you receive these unique purple ones."

Turning to the Yu Monkey King, he asked, "Would you like one too, Brother Yu Monkey?"

The Yu Monkey King, intrigued, replied, "If it's not too much trouble."

"Not at all. With this badge, you can travel freely in Yellow Wind Ridge. May I have your information?"

The Yu Monkey King saw this as an opportunity to strengthen their bond. He provided his details:

"Victory Mountain of the Eastern Continent. Yu Monkey King. 435 years old."

Yellow Wind expertly carved the badge and handed it over. The Yu Monkey King noticed a unique identifier on the back—a numerical code written as "000...002"—and found it quite novel.

The Journey West

After completing his arrangements, Yellow Wind set off with Sun Wukong and the Yu Monkey King, flying westward.

"Such a vast river. Is that the Flowing Sands River?"

"What a magnificent mountain! Could it be Longevity Mountain?"

The three traveled for half a day before reaching a sprawling mountain range, shrouded in mist.

The Yu Monkey King pointed ahead. "That's Mount Chiyang!"

Yellow Wind gazed at the scene.

The mountain range stretched across the horizon, its peaks towering into the sky. Despite their height, they lacked snow, and lush greenery adorned their slopes. A faint yang energy seemed to rise from the range.

Yellow Wind's eyes wandered to a small river branching from the mountains. Its waters were clear and shimmering, but an unusual yin energy emanated from it.

"That river has a strong yin aura," he remarked.

The Yu Monkey King followed his gaze. "That's the Zi-Mu River. Drinking from its waters grants fertility and the ability to conceive children."

Sun Wukong's eyes widened. "Really? That magical?"

The Yu Monkey King nodded. "Indeed. The Bull Demon King controls this area. Many who struggle to have children come to purchase the water, making him quite wealthy."

Yellow Wind's thoughts raced.

Had the Daughter Kingdom not yet come into existence? Was the Zi-Mu River, along with the Falling Fetus Spring, under the Bull Demon King's control?

Looking back at Mount Chiyang, a startling thought struck him.

"Could Mount Chiyang be the future Flame Mountain?"

Five hundred years later:

The Bull Demon King expanded his territory.

He married into the Thunderclap Mountain clan.

The Ruyi Taoist achieved the rank of Ruyi Immortal.

The Iron Fan Princess governed the Flame Mountain.

The Red Boy conquered the Withered Pine Ravine.

The family ruled over a vast domain stretching thousands of miles.

Meanwhile, the Zi-Mu River came under the control of the Daughter Kingdom, with its mystical waters producing only female offspring.

"Curious," Yellow Wind murmured.

Arrival at the Bull Demon King's Domain

"Within Mount Chiyang lies the Ji Tu Fortress," the Yu Monkey King explained. "Unlike most demons who live in caves, the fortress is a sprawling city built into the mountain, home to over ten thousand demons—mostly bull demons, along with lions, tigers, pigs, and sheep."

As they landed at the mountain path, a group of bull demons armed with steel forks blocked their way.

"Who goes there?"

Yellow Wind and the Yu Monkey King presented their invitations.

The guards quickly relayed the news, and soon the Ruyi Taoist and a towering bull demon strode out to greet them.

The bull demon's voice boomed with enthusiasm. "Brother Yu Monkey! It's been years!"

"Brother Bull!" the Yu Monkey King greeted him warmly.

The Bull Demon King turned to Yellow Wind, his sharp eyes scanning him. "Great King Yellow Wind of Yellow Wind Ridge. I watched from afar as you ascended to demonhood and immortal rank, shaking the heavens and terrifying the underworld. Today, I finally meet you in person."

Yellow Wind returned the courtesy. "Thank you, Great King Bull Demon, for the invitation. I hope our visit isn't an imposition."

The Bull Demon King waved it off. "Not at all! I enjoy lively gatherings and making friends. Your presence makes you my brother!"

Finally, his gaze landed on Sun Wukong.

Without hesitation, he cupped his hands and greeted him with equal respect. "And you, brother?"

Sun Wukong puffed out his chest. "Hear this well! I am the Handsome Monkey King, Sun Wukong of Flower-Fruit Mountain and Water Curtain Cave in the Eastern Continent."

Some of the bull demons muttered, "Bold words for a little monkey!"

But the Bull Demon King, unfazed, laughed heartily. "Good! Good! Brothers, come! Let's drink and feast!"

Before they could enter, a fierce black wind roared through the skies. A demon king riding a black cloud descended with a booming voice:

"Brother Bull, I'm here!"
