Cough!

Xavier Lo shuddered, vomiting blood as his body shot out from the sky, crashing heavily to the ground. Blood rained down, painting the air red. Struggling to rise, Xavier looked up just as a shadow loomed over him. Every hair on his body stood on end with a deep sense of dread.

Jason Ji stepped forward, lifting his foot and slamming it onto Xaviers back with tremendous force.

Boom!

The impact forced another mouthful of blood from Xavier, his demonic aura flickering, and his eerie white pupils fading back to black.

"So, weren't you after my power and talent?" Jason's cold voice cut through the air, his foot pressing harder into Xavier's back.

"Curse you! I'll make you suffer!" Xavier growled, filled with venomous rage. Black mist swirled around him, transforming into a horde of bats with scarlet eyes and razor-sharp wings. They fused into massive, sinister wings on his back, shrouding the sky with their ominous cries. In this terrifying transformation, Xavier truly looked like a king of bats, his crimson gaze fixed on Jason with loathing.

That's the Forbidden Abyss Demon Wings from the Devouring Star Technique!" Master Tian Xing muttered in awe, his face pale as he watched Xavier's monstrous form.

Dong Junn couldn't hide his own shock. "Can Jason handle this?"

Only Dragon Long kept her eyes on Jason, who stood against Xavier with unshakable calm, as if everything were going according to plan.

Jason, die! Xavier bellowed, a venomous gleam in his eye as he plunged toward Jason in a blur, his demonic fist engulfed in black energy.

Boom!

A powerful blast echoed as Xavier's fist slammed into Jasons chest, a blow strong enough to fell even a legendary fighter. But before Xavier could celebrate, Jason's cold voice drifted into his ear.

"Youre quite confident, little bat."

Xavier looked up, horror dawning as he met Jasons icy gaze. Jason's hand shot out, seizing one of Xavier's wings, and with a forceful tug—

Rip!

Xaviers wings were torn in two. A bloodcurdling scream filled the air as he collapsed, writhing in agony. Jason, repulsed by the noise, delivered a hard slap to Xaviers face, silencing him with a ringing crack. But he didn't stop there; Jason's foot came down on Xavier's head, pressing him into the ground, robbing him of any will to fight.

The crowd held its breath, eyes wide as they watched Jason standing triumphant, as serene and unbreakable as a god.

"Jason, I swear to repay this humiliation a thousandfold!" Xavier spat, hatred and fear mingling in his gaze. But the onlookers only stifled their laughter; Xavier's threats seemed laughable, his face now marked with a large, dirty boot print.

But Jason's expression grew cold. He sensed Xavier's deep malice and decided the man was too dangerous to let live. In one swift motion, Jason summoned the Immortal Slayer Sword, its ancient aura instantly drawing every gaze.

Immortal Slayer! Xavier's eyes widened in terror. Jason's expression left no doubt: he intended to end Xavier here and now. Desperate, Xavier fumbled for a scroll, crushing it in his trembling hand. A mystical light flared, creating a space portal beneath him.

With a frantic leap, Xavier escaped through the portal, his pitiful retreat leaving the audience stunned.

"Shame," Jason murmured as he watched Xavier vanish. He hadn't expected Xavier to possess such a rare space scroll—likely an expensive relic from the Evil Sect. If Xavier had hesitated even a moment longer, Jason would've cut him down.

But with this resounding defeat, Jason knew Xavier's spirit was shattered, his resolve broken. If they met again, he'd be a shadow of his former self.

"Did the Saint of the Evil Sect just flee?" someone exclaimed, breaking the silence.

"Ha! He ran like a dog!" Dong Junn laughed heartily, as if he'd defeated Xavier himself.

Dragon Long shook her head. "Xavier's reputation is ruined," she remarked as she watched Master Tian Xing's brush capture every detail. This painting would travel the continent, immortalizing Xavier's disgrace.

Her gaze returned to Jason, admiration in her eyes. "So, this is the one who bested Livia."

Clap, clap, clap…

The sound of applause broke the moment. Stepping forward, Tao Bai, the deputy head of the Skykill Pavilion, eyed Jason with a mixture of admiration and regret.

"The Immortal Slayer Sword Master lives up to his reputation," Tao Bai said, drawing his sword and pointing it at Jason. "But it's unfortunate…"

Jason raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Unfortunate?"

"After today," Tao Bai replied, "there will be no Jason Ji, only the Immortal Slayer."

Jason nodded thoughtfully. "Alright. If you can survive a single strike from me…" He paused, his tone turning deadly serious. "The Immortal Slayer will be yours."

A murmur of astonishment rippled through the crowd, shock registering on every face, including Dong Junn, Dragon Long, Master Tian Xing, and Skylar Do. Was Jason truly planning to face Tao Bai after defeating Xavier?

Everyone held their breath, but only Quentin Wei and the three thousand Eastward Iron Guards seemed to sense what was coming. They had seen Jason's might before, witnessed his unparalleled golden blade cleave through the Nether Abyss.

"Could another miracle be on the horizon?"
