Sitting opposite Zack was a young girl.
She had long hair that reached her shoulders, black and beautiful.
The length of her hair was just right, neither the kind that could be spread out over her back nor the kind of short hair that lacked femininity.
She had a perfect oval face, with eyebrows like distant mountains and very noticeable double eyelids, her long lashes fluttering.
Beneath her straight nose were small, red lips, and her skin was white and delicate, with refined features, embodying the meaning of bright eyes and white teeth, naturally beautiful.
What was most captivating was the girl's aura, giving people a sense of pure and distant aloofness. Even though she was in the mundane world, she was elegant like a fairy, a great contradiction.
Perhaps Zack's gaze lingered on her a bit too long, causing the beautiful eyebrows of the girl sitting opposite him to frown slightly.
The girl withdrew her gaze from her phone and looked up at Zack.
Their eyes met, allowing Zack to see her beautiful eyes even more clearly, very elegant and clear.
If this were the old Zack, he would probably have hastily moved his gaze in embarrassment.
But now, Zack was very confident. Seeing the girl looking at him, he smiled, appearing generous and calm, with a gaze so light that it made people feel good.
If he moved his gaze now, it might give the impression of peeking, making him look sleazy. It was better to be open and tell others that he was just looking at her.
The girl wasn't shy like most girls when stared at in such a way. Instead, she boldly looked back at Zack, displaying a hint of stubbornness.
The two stared at each other for a few seconds, as if exchanging glances, until finally, the girl, who was younger, couldn't take it anymore and voluntarily lowered her gaze.
Zack smiled triumphantly, feeling self-satisfied as if he had won a victory.
However, he quickly regained his composure, thinking that he was being childish.
The stunning girl opposite him was dressed very refreshingly and elegantly, wearing seven-inch jeans that revealed a straight and slender stretch of pale calves.
She wore a pair of white thin cotton socks and very clean sneakers. Her top was a simple T-shirt, without any extra accessories.
If he had to describe the girl in front of him with a few words, Zack would use "clean," "elegant," and a bit "cold."
After observing for a while, Zack withdrew his gaze, as it wasn't proper to keep staring at a girl.
Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at the suitcase next to the girl, and like Sherlock Holmes, he concluded the clues.
Since she was sitting in the VIP lounge, there was a high chance that she was on the same flight as him, bound for the capital city.
Considering it was the beginning of the school semester; it indicated that she should be a college student.
This girl should come from a well-off family, especially since she was sitting in business class at such a young age, which would only be possible if her family was wealthy.
Most importantly, with his experience in fashion and makeup, Zack could tell that her suitcase was a Chanel, and it was authentic.
This brand of suitcase could no longer be described as cheap; it was very expensive.
A young student who could afford to fly business class and use Chanel luggage must be from a wealthy family.
Thinking about this, Zack chuckled to himself.
Why was he thinking so much? Probably because this girl was really beautiful and captivating.
In all his years, Zack had never seen such a pretty and heart-stopping girl.
Although his cousin wasn't bad, she was too childish, and there was a gap in aura between her and this girl who was like an ink painting, distant and refined.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Zack stopped paying attention to the girl and started playing with his phone.
If fate allowed and there was an opportunity, Zack wouldn't mind getting to know this girl.
However, he might have stared at her a bit too much just now, and he could sense that the girl was wary of him.
"Sister Annie, I'm in trouble. I think I encountered a wolfish guy!"
Susie typed the message on her phone with her two clean, white hands, chatting with Annie.
Being stared at by Zack for so long made her feel uneasy, but she wasn't overly offended.
The main reason was that she was used to it.
Because of her beauty, Susie had always been secretly watched by boys of her age or older since junior high school.
Some had even boldly confessed their feelings to her, but she had coldly rejected them all.
Zack stared at her for too long, causing Susie to feel slightly annoyed, but what upset her was that she had given in during their staring contest.
What would really make Susie feel disgusted were those middle-aged men with potbellies staring at her. The thought of those blatant gazes made her feel nauseous.
"Is the wolfish guy attractive?"
Seeing Annie's reply, Susie adorably wrinkled her nose.
I'm using a panicked tone to say I encountered a wolfish guy, and you ask if he's attractive?!
She quickly glanced at Zack's seat and typed, "…Yeah, he's attractive, and he's dressed really flashy!"
"…Besides the models I've seen, this is the first time I've seen someone pull off such a flashy outfit so perfectly."
"And he's carrying an LV suitcase, so he should have money. Should I introduce him to you, Sister Annie?"
Annie quickly replied, "…Pictures or it didn't happen. Take a photo for me."
"I dare not. If he finds out, it will be hard to explain!"
"What's there to fear? If he finds out, just say you want to get to know the handsome guy and flash a seductive smile. I don't believe any man can resist the charm of my little Susie!"
"Why don't you seduce him? The black stockings you wore last time were pretty good!"
Susie typed quickly.
"Alright, then Susie, quickly ask for his WeChat and send it to me."
"You're pushing me into a fire pit. Am I not your little sweetie anymore?"
Susie was somewhat aloof, but when facing Annie, her sister and best friend since childhood, she was playful and cute.
"That's right, you're my little wife. How can you seduce someone else? Susie, send me a sexy photo of yourself!"
"Why don't you send yours?"
"Image.jpg"
Looking at the picture of Annie's legs in black silk stockings, Susie knew she couldn't compete with her. This woman was just too shameless!
While Susie was chatting with Annie, an airport staff member signaled that guests in the VIP lounge could board the plane.
"I'm boarding now. I'll talk to you later."
"Go ahead. Susie, you're not a kid anymore. See if you can hook up with a handsome guy in college."
Annie sent a bunny emoji.
"Why don't you hook up with a handsome guy yourself first!"
After replying, Susie put away her phone.
On the other side, Zack also put away his phone and pulled his suitcase, following the airport staff dressed like flight attendants out of the VIP lounge.
Spending big money on a plane ticket always comes with some perks, including a dedicated security check channel, a VIP lounge, and early boarding.
Walking across the bridge to the boarding gate, the young flight attendant smiled and bowed slightly, saying, "…Hello, sir."
Zack didn't speak, directly handing over his boarding pass.
After checking the boarding pass, the flight attendant pointed beside and said, "…Your seat is here."
Domestic airlines didn't have a proper first-class cabin; that was only available on international flights.
First-class cabins in places like Arabia even allowed passengers to shower on the plane, although the ticket price was also expensive, reaching six figures.
As for domestic short-haul flights, they could only be called business class, offering more comfortable chairs and more space, but nothing else.
Even so, the business class cabin of a large aircraft had four seats in a row, two side by side in the middle and one row on each side.
Zack's seat was by the left window.
After placing his luggage, Zack sat down, and other business class passengers also entered.
Zack saw that the pretty girl who had sat opposite him earlier was now seated next to him, separated by an aisle.
Susie pushed her suitcase in and frowned when she saw Zack sitting across the aisle from her.
Coming to her seat, she tried to put her suitcase up by folding the handle.
Although the suitcase wasn't big, the girl was too skinny, and her tiny arms lacked strength, so she couldn't lift it.
Seeing this, the flight attendant at the doorway quickly stepped forward to lend a hand. However, Zack was quicker. He stood up and took the suitcase right out of Susie's hands, placing it into the overhead bin.
Susie hesitated for a moment, whispering, "...Thanks."
Her voice was clear and melodious, perfectly matching her appearance.
Although her thanks were sincere, Zack could still sense the coldness, vigilance, and detachment in her words.
Zack chuckled to himself, realizing that he had probably frightened the girl earlier in the VIP lounge.
So, he didn't mind and simply replied with a smile before sitting down again and picking up his phone to continue playing.
Susie let out a gentle sigh of relief. She thought Zack was just trying to strike up a conversation by helping her with her luggage.
But Zack didn't say a word, even sparing her no more than a glance, as if he didn't care about her at all.
This was a complete contrast to how blatantly he had stared at her earlier in the VIP lounge.
Could it be that she wasn't looking good anymore?
After sitting down, Susie blinked her pretty eyes.
Girls' minds are the hardest to guess. If you look at them too much, they get upset. If you don't look at them enough, they still get upset.
Out of habit, she glanced to the side and saw Zack lowering his head engrossed in something on his phone, chuckling to himself.
It seemed that his phone was much more interesting than the pretty girl sitting next to him.
Susie hesitated again, noticing that this not-so-old boy had a really nice smile.
She turned her gaze away and started playing a game before the plane took off, but a faint ripple of emotions inexplicably emerged in her heart.
Before long, the passengers in economy class boarded, and the plane quickly moved to the runway for takeoff.
