It was hard to tell if Chen Shang's decision to forgo a detailed search was the reason, but as he moved through the first and second floors of B-wing, he didn't encounter anything unusual. The only things present were broken equipment, flickering lights, and cobwebs everywhere.

The rusty iron doors creaked eerily, with cold wind occasionally blowing in from outside.

Chen Shang climbed the stairs to the third floor, each step creaking underfoot as if threatening to collapse at any moment. The decayed wooden steps groaned, making him wonder if they could support his weight or if they would suddenly give way, sending him crashing down.

Luckily, the stairs didn't play such a cruel joke. Despite their ominous noises, Chen Shang made it safely to the third floor.

Looking around, the layout was the same as the previous floors—a long corridor, though in worse condition. Worse still, about a third of the doors were wide open.

Perhaps it was due to years of neglect, but many doors that should have been tightly closed were rusted and broken, some so damaged they couldn't be shut at all.

Chen Shang eyed the open doors, his brow furrowing as he lowered his stance, ready for action.

[Oh, oh, oh! Is there finally going to be a fight? Things are heating up!]

[Way more exciting than Boruto, that's for sure!]

[Lol, Boruto? That's practically non-flammable material.]

Despite the open doors, there wasn't a soul in sight. Chen Shang slowed his pace and carefully advanced.

As he passed a tightly closed door, a sudden loud bang rang out.

Chen Shang glanced to his right—a grotesque face was pressed against the door, snarling and pounding, as if about to burst through at any moment.

He merely glanced at it without changing his posture. Just then, a figure lunged at him from the half-open door to his left.

A normal person, hearing a sudden loud noise from the right and seeing such a horrifying face so close, would instinctively react. Even if they weren't terrified, they'd likely adjust their stance, preparing for a threat from the front. That would make the sneak attack from behind especially dangerous.

Unfortunately, this was Chen Shang.

His heightened sixth sense, granted by his role, had already warned him the moment the attacker moved. Chen Shang raised his left arm, catching the figure mid-lunge.

A sharp blade plunged into his left arm, but Chen Shang acted as if he hadn't noticed. He slammed his body to the left, pinning the attacker against the wall. His left arm pressed firmly against the attacker's throat, and with a swift motion, his right hand drove his knife through the attacker's right hand, pinning it to the wall.

"Well, well, playing with tactics, are we? You lunatics are getting creative!" Chen Shang sneered, yanking the sharp fruit knife from his left arm.

The assailant, a frail-looking woman, had surprising strength that belied her slender frame. If not for her hand being pinned to the wall, Chen Shang would have had a hard time holding her down with just one arm.

After all, Chen Shang's strength was at an E+ level, one full tier above the human limit.

The woman didn't scream, not even when her hand was impaled. She struggled violently, her right hand becoming a bloody mess as she thrashed against the knife pinning it to the wall. Blood dripped to the floor, and her eyes, filled with venom, remained fixed on Chen Shang.

"Impressive, you've got some fight in you," Chen Shang said with a grin. Suddenly, he loosened his left arm just as the woman lunged forward, unable to stop herself.

Chen Shang's left hand shot out, grabbing her by the throat. His eyes turned blood red, fangs protruding from his mouth as he sank them into her neck.

[WTF, the streamer is eating someone!]

[Has he fully turned into a vampire now?]

[Looks like it. Didn't he get bitten by that vampire lady in the last stream?]

[Forget what he is; why is he scarier than the actual monsters?]

[Man, that was quick and brutal.]

At first, the woman struggled fiercely, her free hand scratching deep gouges across Chen Shang's face. But as the blood drained from her body, her resistance weakened, and soon she went limp, unable to move.

After draining roughly 3500cc of blood, Chen Shang released the woman, who slumped lifelessly to the floor. He yanked the knife from her right hand, letting her body collapse.

Chen Shang wiped the blood from his mouth, watching as the wounds on his face healed rapidly. The injury on his left arm had already stopped bleeding and begun to scab.

"Thanks for the meal. You were actually pretty tasty," Chen Shang said with a smirk. His left hand gripped the woman's small knife, while his right hand held his military blade in a reverse grip. His gaze shifted to the figure that had been banging on the door.

The once menacing expression on that person's face was now gone. Seeing Chen Shang's blood-red eyes, they backed away in terror, retreating into the darkness of the room.
